Enchanting

Volcano
Publié le 12 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayVery nice property close to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. We hiked for several days within the park and this was a great place to rest up afterwards. Make sure you do ALL grocery shopping elsewhere though, a loaf of bread, package of sliced deli meat and a bag of chips came to over $35 at the small market in town.

Great place to visit Volcanoes NP

Nice secluded but easily accessible stay

Relaxing Volcano Stay
Publié le 16 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayQuiet and secluded, we had a great experience staying in this rain forest setting in Volcano. If you are wanting to stay away from large crowds and just enjoy the beauty of the island this is the perfect spot. Not a lot of frills, but the bed is incredibly comfortable with loads of pillows. We stayed in October and it did get pretty cold, but the host did have extra blankets and a space heater available. Also had a drying mat for water shoes and a dehumidifier, which made a big difference in the air quality in the space (as someone with asthma, I appreciate it!!)
Only things I wish we had: a luggage stand, and some more hooks in the bathroom.
Not a lot of food around, and be mindful that the few that are around may be closed on sun/mon. So be prepared to bring some food with you to fill in those gaps in food availability. Highly recommend having a drive around the area and checking out the food trucks on the side of the road, had some good coffee and Thai food.

Very thoughtful space
