Not what was promised
Publié le 1 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayCleanliness was not good, no breakfast, no spa, towels left in washer , was trying to do routine maintenance on house while we were there , backyard was manageable. Best thing of this property was the location and was quiet.

We loved the decor. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Waco.

Beware
Publié le 23 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayNot what it appears in pictures. Backyard was a pit. Mosquito infested. Curtain rod in living room broken. Lots of clutter. Hot water tank sounds like tennis shoes in a dryer. We left a day early☹️

Hey Linda, not sure about your purpose to write this review, but the home is exactly as pictured, your the first person in 4 years to say that? We had 11 inches of rain here, and guess that would make the backyard less desirable, wetness, mosquitoes maybe even mud in areas, but I can't control the rain and and how much we got! As far as the curtain rod, I'll check on that, but I've not noticed it, surely that didn't impact your stay enough to add it to your review! The water heater workes great, and may have some air in the line, causing it to occasionally make the noise you mentioned, but you had hot water, so its doing its job, again, is it bad enough, to add it in your review? I'm so glad, I've had repeated guests, that book this property and and always give great reviews, but as I know, you can't make everyone happy all the time! I'm thankful for the super guests, that appreciate a nice home, that I offer, pet friendly, fully fenced, new AC system, and stocked kitchen, Tvs in every room, and etc. All I can say is, Shame on you!

Unprofessional Property Mngr
Publié le 4 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayI advised we would arrive in the middle of the night or early morning. We arrived and NOTHING had been cleaned for a minimum of 2 weeks. I gave them a chance to clean it and can back ro inspect 2 1/2 hours later when they told me it was ready and it was still not even vacuumed as well as other problems. We did not stay and the the property manager texted me an extremely nasty text attacking my character and making assumptions! It i never inyended on staying, i never would have given them a chance to make it right and waist more of my time! The amenities, wine, cheese and chocolates, where also no longer offered yet they were still listed on the listing!
Beautiful older home that would have been delightful if it had been cleaned before we arrived as well as after....

Oh my goodness, what some folks will do to get out of their booking, once they realize that they won't be needing after all! I made every attempt to make you happy, by sending my cleaning girl over there to take care of any issues you were seeing! She greeted you at the door, and you cursed her! She sent me pictures of all the rooms, and they looked great! The fact remains that you only went to my home to get any evidence you could to try to get a refund! You are a hosts ultimate nightmare, and I told you that because it is true. The first time anyone sent me a picture of the Keurig coffee maker being half full of water,Geez! I spoke with my host manager about this situation, and how difficult you made things! I pray that you find some happiness in your life, and that other folks will see the kind and great reviews from previous stays and disregard your comments here!

Great space for visiting but listing description is inaccurate
Publié le 15 mai 2023 sur HomeAwayThe family room is great for visiting and if the weather had been better, the backyard would have been great to use. The water is hot and the pressure is great. The A/C cooled the space on a muggy, hot weekend.
We planned to cook in. Would like to have had measuring cups, colander, etc. My issue with the home is the listing description regarding what is provided. The listing says everything is new, but the towels are quite old, or at least worn. Would have liked washcloths and found them on top of the dryer as we were leaving. No make up remover cloths. No shampoo/conditioner in one of the bathrooms. No breakfast bars, cookies, bagel chips. The laundry detergent bowl was empty. While I didn’t need it, no bottle of wine. There was one k cup for the coffee, no creamer and no Stevia and sugar. Fortunately, I didn’t bank of these items being there, but do want others to know so they plan accordingly. The stove didn’t start and we never figured out how to turn on the oven. She did respond to the stove request promptly and suggested we light it manually. Fortunately we had a lighter. We had reached out to confirm a grill and learned there was one but a cleaning fee to use it. Didn’t think to ask the size. It’s a very small tailgate grill. It would have taken forever to grill our fajita meat. HEB to the rescue! The smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector is laying on top of the fridge. Some information says check out at 10 and some 11. Disappointment is the listing description.
