Welcome to JoyHouse in Waco, Texas! I am so excited to share this special get away with you. It is perfect place to stay for family gatherings, Baylor events, weddings, girls' weekend, or a romantic get away. There a so many fun things to do in Waco and surrounding areas.

This house has been a labor of love and is a true gem after its fixer-upper journey. This 3 bedroom home is nestled on a quiet street with charm both inside and out. Enjoy the updates and beauty of JoyHouse, whether gathered around the farm table, cozied up by the fireplace, playing games at the vintage game table, or relaxing under the cafe lights in the private, fenced yard.

JoyHouse sleeps 6 comfortably with one queen bed in private master suite. Enjoy an additional queen bed in a second bedroom. The third bedroom features two twin beds. Additional air mattresses also available. There are also portable cribs available.


Gather around a large table in the kitchen, perfect for making memories. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you may need during your stay, including a dual coffee maker, toaster, slow cooker, pot/pans, utensils, and all you would need to enjoy a bottle of wine (or 2,3 or 4) etc.

Linens, towels, shampoo, soap, hair dryers, toilet tissue and paper towels are all provided.

There is internet and three TVs for your enjoyment. The living room, twin room and master suite are all equipped with smart TVs.

There is outdoor seating under cafe lights in the fenced private backyard.

There is ample parking in the double driveway and attached garage.

Perfect getaway
From the communication with the host to the check out process, this was the perfect getaway to spend time with my daughter at Baylor Law School. Host was gracious & offered early check & late check out. Quiet neighborhood.

House was very functional, cute decor. Only 4 stars for cleanliness. Kitchen and baths were clean but gobs of dust on ceiling fans and lights. Only ironing board we could find was in the garage and too dirty to use.

Joy House is our favorite
We have stayed at the Joy House several times and always find it comfortable, clean, and convenient. Also, the manager is very helpful and easy to reach. The Joy House is a few minutes from Downtown and Baylor, which results in great restaurants and shopping. When we want to go downtown, it’s only 10-15 minutes. Our Bella loves it, too, for the fenced back yard.

Lovely home away from home.

This was a perfect place!!!
This place was excellent! Me and a few coworkers had a big project to take on that took a couple weeks. This place made us feel like we never left our homes. To be able to relax, cook dinner and have our own private rooms was perfect. Gayla, was an awesome host with simple instructions for checking in and out. Could not ask for a better host. I certainly would use this property again for any extended stays.

Charming and cozy home in Waco
What a beautiful little home in Waco. It was comfortable, adorably decorated farmhouse-style, and conveniently located. It’s a very safe and quiet neighborhood, the host had Wine in the fridge for us, and it’s very close to the attractions in Waco. It was also super easy to communicate with our host, Gayla. We had a great visit with our family. My nephew graduated from Midway High School and the house was very close to Panther Stadium. His graduation party and all other events were also very close. The house was all that it was advertised to be. Great location.

Absolute PERFECTION
The JOY house was perfect in every way! The pictures and description just do not do it justice. It was an oasis!! It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and absolutely beautiful! Gayla thought of everything from a diffuser, to extra plugs near the bed, to a welcome book that included places to eat and things to do. The neighborhood was great for walking. The neighbors are so friendly. It was only a very short drive to the Silos and gave a retreat feeling to come “home” to! Thank you for sharing your home with us! We will be back!! Blessings! Joy House is our favorite !
Joy House is our favorite place to stay in Waco. We visit often, and it is so convenient for food restaurants and shopping. Only takes around 15 minutes to get Downtown, Magnolia, or to Baylor. We prefer to stay at Joy House than downtown. There is much less traffic and we feel safer. This time we enjoyed sitting on the veranda enjoying the bottle of champagne that was left for us on our arrival. Special touches make a difference!
