Quiet, clean & comfortable!
Publié le 17 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved staying in this rental. It was spacious & thoughtfully arranged. The unit was spotlessly clean and well equipped for our stay. The kitchen was well-stocked for all our cooking abd dining needs. There was ample cookware & serveware for us to use. We also appreciated that the host provided two sets of clean towels for us as well as a washer & dryer. The area was quiet and conveniently located away from the north shore traffic. Thank you so much, we hope to be back!

Close to our son - and best beach ever!
Publié le 10 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayOur son lives in Waialua, and closest hotel is just so expensive. So glad we found this gem. We’ll be back!

Good location
Publié le 7 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe place was small but we had plenty of room for our group. My only complaint was when you stepped outside all you could smell was dog poop and the trampoline was not safe for kids.

The advantages of staying there became apparent as we stayed longer. Initially we became aware that there was No stove, dresser space, small bathroom, manual padlock each time you entered and left the place. For children this is an awesome place as there were lots of animals around; dogs, puppies, chickens, all kinds of birds and gecko varieties. Tree swings, and a feeling of being safe and able to walk around for children was wonderful. The bed n the one room was comfortable. Air conditioning cooled down front room immediately; lots of fans. Lots of fresh fruit to pick; guava, mangos, avocados, etc. People who were staying there were very friendly and welcoming. Although not too close to the beach, had wonderful food at every place we ate at in Haleiwa and never had to wait to be seated very long. The washer and dryer were a big plus too.

Peaceful, rural feel to the place and the property. The quiet beach was a short walk away from the property. Responsive hosts to issues or concerns.

The description was very deceptive…the WiFi was slow and of poor quality, there was no hot tub or pool, the space was extremely small and the kitchen was very minimal. It stated a stovetop which equated to a small two burner electric “stove” that could barely accommodate two 2 qt. pots (we were trying to make meals for a family of 5). There was a grill but no propane. It was three rooms attached to a larger dwelling that had permanent tenants who were raising chickens and dogs on the property so we woke up to crowing roosters and howling dogs every morning. There were other VRBO rentals on the property. There was also old and decrepit shipping containers and other junk on the property like old cars and such. There is a reason there are only three pictures of the same rooms. We ended up leaving a day early and going back to a hotel.

Perfect Country Retreat!
Publié le 28 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful stay at Tina's north shore cottage. The hustle/bustle of the big city (Honolulu) or resorts (Waikiki; Ko Olina) are not really our pace. Tina's rental was absolutely perfect. It was clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. There were thoughtful touches like beach towels, beach toys, access to laundry. We enjoyed fresh mango, star fruit, guava and macademia nuts daily.
For us, this location was perfect. Close to Hale'iwa we ended up there daily for dinner, water play, and poking around the cute little shops. We also did our own "circle tours" and took in all parts of the island - 40 min to the airport; 45min to Ko Olina for a luau and snorkel tour, 15 min from Dole Plantation, 30 min from Turtle Bay, etc...
We made friends with the resident pups and the property resident, Jake (?), was friendly and informative - telling us about what fruits were on the property and telling us about the Noni fruit outside our door.
All-in-all, we thoroughly enjoyed this stay and highly recommend.
