Best ever!!
We were very impressed with this unit! It had everything we needed and more! The location was perfect and the beach was awesome! We could see turtles, dolphins and whales from our wraparound balcony and the view was fantastic! We would definitely come back again

Perfect for our family
We really enjoyed staying this lovely condo during our holiday stay. The Sunsets were amazing and the beach was quiet.The winter months had the water pretty active so not great for novel swimmers. Keep in mind that this is 20-40 (depending on traffic) from most activities. The drive is beautiful though!

This corner unit was beautiful but the view was even more amazing! Loved our time here and being able to sit on the linai enjoying morning coffee. Was surprised by the amount of homeless in the area, but would definitely go back to this location. The condo is gated and we did not have any issues.

Great Family Trip
This was a great spot for a lazy trip at the beach. Property is very secure and clean. Little older building that has a wonderful layout and location right on the beach. Beautiful sunsets every night. Tammy is a wonderful host.

Beautiful Ocean Front Views!
We had a wonderful stay at this Hawaiian Princess condo! This is our second time staying at a condo at Hawaiian Princess so we already knew about the location and how far away it is to get to many things but we don't mind the drive in exchange for the peacefulness of this property. The host was responsive whenever I had a question - which I really appreciated. The reasons I give this property a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 is for the following reasons: 1) The wrap around balcony is AMAZING yet there was no lounge chair to use even though there is a picture of a wooden lounge chair/bench in the photos. 2) The massage chair highlighted in the listing hardly works. The only part that works is the leg massage. And while this in no way effects my stay over-all, I still expected it to function properly since it's listed as an amenity. 3) 1 Garbage bag - and when I asked about it - I was told this is a self-catering unit. Ok... but where does it say that? I had no problem buying paper towels and napkins for my stay however - I really don't want to have to go buy a whole box of garbage bags for a 5 night stay. Would it really be too much to ask to leave 2 garbage bags for a 5 night stay? There was also only 1 dishwasher tablet which was fine for us because we just hand washed the dishes with the provided dish soap and sponge. 4) The snorkeling gear was unusable. Don't depend on using it. 5) Homeless sleeping on beach right in front of condo.

Zero communication with host , no instructions sent, safety concerns
The host never attached instructions to the email she sent me 6 weeks prior to my trip. The instructions she claimed she sent had the correct WiFi password and username apparently. BIGWAVE server which is shown directly on the VRBO app is not available. Host went out of the country and failed to tell us. She was unreachable until our last day of the trip after we already checked out. Safety concerns. It looks like someone broke into the place and it’s not secure. We arrived and the slat to the bedroom window was broken and on the ground. The back sliding glass door looked like someone had broken in. The glass itself was only framed on three sides making gap in the door so the door is never completely closed. It was fixed previously with scotch tape. The door was hard to move. You can’t move the left side, it wasn’t on the track well either. It was apparent someone had tampered with the door and broke it. It could if fallen and shattered. I tried contacting the host immediately. We had no real way to lock up our stuff due to the door and window. Anyone could have easily gotten into where we were staying and we also were there with two 13 year old girls. The beach gear was in a box under two chairs on the back patio, we never found them. We had to buy more and they were left for future use . Major safety concerns for us and our belongings since house wasn’t properly secure. No paper towels, no towels or dish sponges. No way to clean. Won’t rent again.

Perfect Beach
Overall everything was next to perfect. We traveled the entire island and checked all the beaches. This beach has amazing sand and is quite private. The place was clean and the view went on for miles. Beds were great! Shampoo, paper towels and laundry detergent would have made it absolutely perfect. No real problem here though as there was a store close by. Thank you for the use of your condo!

Lovely Ocean View Far From Town
Good points: fantastic view, location close to the ocean; very few people on the beach; well kept facility; clean place, great mattresses; lots of closet and storage space. Bad points: 40 to 60 minutes to downtown, through a homeless encampment, so every drive anywhere takes a lot of your day; no sharp knives and awful pots and pans; no soap for shower and washer; one trash bag; 2 dishwasher pods; at this price, which is much more than others in the building, I expect to not have to make a trip to the grocery store before I can shower.

Great stay for west island experience
The beach is great. The room was great. We've stayed at this location before and its a little gem nestled in a local neighborhood. Our only complaints were that the hallway door was not working properly when we 1st arrived and was a little frustrating (salty air seemed to be the cause)... and a door needs to be installed in the 2nd bathroom.

This condo was amazing! We had such a good time. Check-in and check-out was easy. There are boogie boards, snorkel gear, and chairs but the umbrella is a little messed up. The sunset every night is the highlight of the day!

We absolutely loved this place!! The property had everything we needed—kitchen supplies, great beds and linens, nice bath towels, beach chairs, water toys, beach towels, etc. It was super clean, very secure and very comfortable. We cooked several meals and did a few loads of laundry. Everything worked great. The beach was TOP NOTCH!!! We drove the entire island sightseeing and never saw another beach we wanted to get out and spend time at. The beach here feels private and was never even close to being crowded. And the sunsets were stunning!

We have been to the Hawaiian Princess multiple times, at differnt times of the year. This time there were dozens upon dozen of whales doing their thing that we watched off of the lani and the beach. It was magnificent! The location is more peaceful than in Honolulu. The beach is easily accessible and there is always space to lounge, sun, or play. The suite is spacious and comfortable. The constant breezes means you dont have to turn on AC. Have recommended this location to family and friends. It truly is lovely!

2nd stay at Hawaiian Princess was great!
We love the Hawaiian Princess, have had great experiences both times despite some minor issues. The beach and coastline are gorgeous and uncrowded (btw that's an understatement), the view from the room and access to it are a few steps from the elevator in the lobby, and the rooms are comfortable if at times a little dated (LESS so for this unit). That said, it's not for everyone. Good shopping is remote, dining options are limited, and the highway traffic can back up horribly at times. We'll still come back because it is so peaceful- sit on the lanai and watch the waves, whales, turtles, occasional surfer or sand castle builder; walk the beach, and we love the local hiking options. Someday I'm going to play the Makaha golf course too!

Very nice location on the ocean. Surf warnings were up the whole time we were there and the ocean was so (wonderfully) loud you couldn't hear the tv and had to go in the bedroom to talk on the phone. Had to spend most water time at the pool and sometimes there weren't enough chairs. The condo is published as "self-catered" but there weren't enough of the basics-- plates and silver not even for 6, few cooking utensils, no sharp knives. Not even soap in the shower. We've stayed in VRBOs for years and have always found dish soap, bath soap and laundry detergent if there's a washer. Plenty of closet space and bathrooms worked well. The bedding could be improved especially the old pillows. But we enjoyed sleeping to the pounding surf.

The Hawaiin Princess is a great place to stay. The grounds were nice and there were good amenities in the building. Our kids just wanted to be on the private beach all day which was fantastic! The room was nice and clean but a little dated. The oven was ancient and difficult to use. The oven dials were duct-taped together. The staff was very nice, communicative, and helpful. We had a little bit of bad luck staying there during construction which was noisy during the day but not terrible. We had some other bad luck with the internet going down in the whole building for a day and a half and one of the elevators broke down the last few days we were there. On our last night, some kids got through security and were being rude to other beachgoers and left a big pile of trash on the beach. I informed the security guard and asked for a garbage bag to clean up after the kids. He could not find a garbage bag so I took one out of a nearby garbage can and cleaned up the mess. The security guard was busy on his phone that night. Overall it was a good stay despite the neighborhood which has a lot of homelessness and tent encampments.

Amazing view
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tammy's condo. She was very responsive to our few questions and sending recommendations on restaurants and activities was very helpful. She had most everything we needed for our stay - beach chairs, towels, umbrella, snorkel gear, etc. I do have to agree with others that the area has a major problem with homelessness, and it did make me a bit on edge. However, it's an issue on the entire island, and nothing the owner can change. That being said, the condo & building are secure, and we had no problems, and felt safe. The guards were friendly and helpful as well. But most of all, the sunsets are amazing! It's what we came to see, and we were thankful that we had the opportunity to do so! Gorgeous sunsets!
Every night we would watch the sunset and take numerous pictures. We listened to the roar of the waves and when calm we swam on the beach. This is a diamond in the rough! You are about an hour from any of the regular tourist destinations, but when you are in your condo with that view, it is amazing.
