Fantastic location.
Publié le 21 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayHome was in great location. Home a little tired. In need of new heaters they are rusty and plug corrosion. Stairwell, spiral, very unsafe for children and safety rails definitely not to code. Top bunk bed has no safety rails. Some electrical?
Home was well equipped though to meet needs for a holiday. We did enjoy our stay overall.

Thank you for your review. I will have a look at getting some new heaters in to replace those - thank you for that feedback. You may have noticed in the house description the bit about stairs not being safe for very young children. Most people bring a stair guard and change the layout of furniture to keep it safe for their littlies. Sunshine is a traditional kiwi bach on the beach front, not an Omaha Ponderosa (and that is reflected by the rates), but most say they love the authenticity of the house, the kitchen, etc. However, although some might suggest the house looks a little 'tired', the electricals are not, and are checked regularly for safety. Anyway, hope you got all the various possessions you left behind back in good time, we were very happy to help with that. So pleased you enjoyed your stay! All the best!

Amazing location and view - a bit old and quirky
Publié le 23 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house is right on the beach and has an amazing view. The deck is a lovely gathering place for folks, and if you're a surfer, the water is 10 steps away. The layout is a bit quirky but worked well for us because the 2 downstairs bedrooms are across a room from each other, affording privacy.
Communication with the owner was great - she was very responsive and flexible.
Things to know: The house is old and is definitely a vacation home; nothing flash but everything works. My bed had sand in it, indicating the sheets hadn't been washed, but the sheets on the other two beds seemed to be clean. There's a charge for leaving your trash. It was a bit awkward asking my inlaws to take away our rubbish and recycling – definitely not typical for a VRBO.

Waihi beach Girls weekend
Publié le 6 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayThe location and house are fantastic. Photos from the deck and kitchen window didnt do it justice - could almost touch the sand. Could have stayed longer and definitely will return. The only negative is I think the airbed has a hole in it as it didnt stay up throughout the night. As we were using all the beds we noticed it. The house is well maintained in all other aspects so Im guessing the owners just arnt aware. Totally recommend ⭐️ ⭐️ Thank you

Thanks so much for your kind words. I apologise for the airbed! We do check it but this one must have slipped through the net. In the future we are actually going to encourage people to bring their own so as to avoid this happening again. What a spot!
Publié le 7 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayAbsolute beachfront is correct. We had an amazing time away with our family and friends here. Loved being able to longline right outside the property and just being able to pop out for swim whenever we felt like it.
Great location for walking to the shops etc as well.
We would definitely book this again.

Christmas escape
Publié le 30 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayWith family from UK with their children aged 10 and a 6 month baby we escaped Auckland to Sunshine house right on beach. Swims before breakfast and walks along the beach and into town was so easy. It was the perfect location and room for us all with time out zones. Great stay.
