The first day the HVAC was not getting cold and they could not get it any colder. We just lived with it. In addition, every day ( multiple times per day) we had key and door problems. I asked the staff to get it fixed on 2nd day out of 5 days. Unfortunately every day we had to do the long walk to the front desk to request new keys. I even made sure the key was in another pocket away from my phone and any other items. Last but not least the cost to eat on property is ridiculous. $55 per person for breakfast. Which was not good. Overall I am disappointed in Hilton….it could have been a much better experience.

The resort is both expansive and breathtaking. My wife and I were nearly overwhelming with all the onsite options. It’s very easy to walk around and take everything in, Hilton has done a terrific job providing a covered walkway with interesting artwork and cultural exhibits. Overall an amazing venue.
If I had any criticism it’d be logistics. However, the tram/monorail is exceedingly slow. Also, the parking lot is at one end of the property, and our room happed to be on the other end (15 minutes travel time).

With the amount of guests that frequent this property and the price you pay for all the resort fees that they would pay their staff more and emphasize customer service. Place was packed to the brim with people from all over the world. It’s been 15yrs since I stayed here and sad to say the quality has severely diminished and I’m literally sick. After a long day I just wanted to order room service, payed $275 for dinner for 3 only for me and my family to get food poisoning and they include gratuity in their price and then have an additional separate line asking for gratuity again when they deliver!
The beds were old, hard and springy, sheets and towels scratchy. Pillows already had stains on them before we even touched them. Thin walls, I could hear my neighbor flush his toilet as if he was in my own bathroom. With all the noises and discomfort, sleepless night to say the least. Then at 800am, housekeeping is banging on the door and rudely asking me, not if we need a cleaning but when I’m going to check out? Like we’re just being rushed out after I just spent my savings at this place. Super disappointed, unable to recommend the hotel to anyone. The only commendation I will give is to the pool recreation staff at the Kona pool. They were attentive and super friendly, and the only aloha I experienced the time I stayed there. They just really made me and my kids taken care of while at the pool.

The property is beautiful and gives a great experience for first time travelers to the island. Lots to do on the property and within the area. Highly recommend.
