New paint, new bathrooms, new floors throughout. Exceptional townhouse condominium in the Colony Villas at Waikoloa Beach Resort, a gated community on the perimeter of the Kings golf course in the sunny crescent of the Big Island with sunshine 350 days a year. Two pools and tennis courts on the property, as well as two golf courses. Shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores are close by--everything you might need you'll be able to find within the resort's many shops and stores or at the nearby Waikoloa Hilton Resort.

Lots of sun. Upstairs and downstairs lanai. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms (renovated 10/22), laundry room, washer/dryer, and full kitchen. High ceilings and island design. Excellent home base for seeing and exploring the island. All carpet and flooring has been replaced in stages since 2018. Entire interior repainted 09/2023. Volcanoe view from upstairs bedroom. Totally quiet. You won't hear a thing.

A-Bay is the nearest beach, located within the resort, a 20 minute walk. Lava Lava is a fantastic open air restaurant right on the beach. Hapuna, Mauna Kea, and Puako beaches are nearby.

Barbecues are located on the property poolside. Excellent grocery store in the resort or nearby in Waikoloa town.

Big Island is full of things to see and do and our condominium is so comfortable to come home to after a day out.

Big Island is rich in history, culture, and natural beauty. From the beaches to the volcanoes, the botanical gardens, and the wonderful farmers' market in Hilo.

Great location! Well stocked
We thought this was a great location. This area is very beautiful with lots of walking trails. We liked that it was so close to A-bay, Hapuna and Mauna Kei beaches. The condo had lots of beach stuff including boogey boards, umbrella, cooler and chairs so that was very helpful. We liked also being close to island gourmet to pick up groceries and some fast meals. The condo was well equipped for us to do some cooking and was right around the corner from the pool and the BBQs which was very nice. Paul was quick to respond when we contacted him about questions.

Clean, updated 2 bedroom in Waikoloa
A very clean and nicely updated 2 bedroom townhouse in Waikola. Comfortable king bed in the upstairs master bedroom. Very near to one of two pools in the complex. Very quiet. We had a bit of trouble locating the building where the unit was but called the owner and then easily found the unit. The a/c is locked at 76, not really an issue for us as we opened the windows at night for cooler air upstairs.

Everything we may have needed was there for us. Thank you! Condo is beautiful, both bathrooms remodeled with fantastic showers. Thanks for the beach chairs and beach towels.we didn’t need the beach toys, but they would be a very nice addition for a family. We hope to return soon and would happily rent this condo again.

Great condo, with a couple of caveats
Great location and amenities. There were a couple of issues. Chemicals: Mainly an issue since I had young children. A minor recommendation would be to have chemicals stored somewhere other than in easily accessible cupboards, such as under the kitchen sink. My 1 year old daughter grabbed an open container of powdered cleaning product. This obviously was on me for not having my eyes on her at that moment, but given that others may stay with their children there, I thought I would mention it. The AC: It is controlled by a Nest thermostat, which is locked. The condo temperature was set at 76 degrees on auto mode, which was much warmer than my 1 year old daughter could handle. We are from Hilo and are used to warmer temperatures during the day, but not 76 at night! I contacted the owner (or manager, not sure) to see if they could turn the temp down. Initially, I was told that they found the temperature comfortable and that energy costs are high. They offered to turn it down to 74, which I said was fine. Within a few hours, the temperature was turned back to 76 F. Since my daughter is young, I again requested they turn it down for her nighttime safety. Since the contact was on mainland, they didn't turn the temperature down till 2 in the morning. We went through the same thing the next day. It was weird and Orwellian (like big brother) to have someone else control the temperature of a condo you are renting. I understand cost, but we paid a lot to stay here.

A luxurious home away from home
The condo was just what it said it was, a really nice home feeling with everything you need and more. The host was super easy to deal with, check in and out instructions were super clear. We really enjoyed our stay. Definitely will be back.

So close to the back gate but so far.
Well they spent two whole days working on the back gate but still never got the entry gate to open. Still blocked off with pylons. Also the downstairs toilet is a bit wobbly. If the next occupants could pick up some pepper that would be great. The place has salt but no pepper. The beach chairs are a bit worn but still functional. Other then these things it is a great place to stay and we would definitely come back again.

Paul's unit was beautifully appointed. It had everything. A very well stocked kitchen and perfectly located. Only complaint was the blinds in the kitchen...very difficult to use to get out onto the lanai. Paul was easy to deal with and very accommodating. Would highly recommend this unit to anyone.

This is a very nice place to stay. I was a bit concerned about the check-in ahead of time, but it worked out perfectly. The unit is beautiful and very upscale. There was an abundance of beach towels which was very much appreciated. The grounds and facilities available in this complex are very well kept up. It was too bad that the back entrance gate was not working as this unit is located very near that back gate. Hopefully the complex can get it up to speed in the near future. I would definitely recommend this unit and hopefully we can stay here when return to the Big Island.

Beautiful property and location
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waikaloa Colony Villas! The property itself is updated, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. There was plenty of space for our family of four (kids, ages 15 and 10). There are beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, boogie boards, a cooler, etc. as well. The two pools, hot tub, and workout center in the gated community was a nice touch. The unit could be a little cooler; it was difficult to sleep at night. We messaged Paul around day 4 and he was prompt to knock the temp down a bit for us to make it more comfortable which was wonderful. The directions on the listing takes you to the back entrance which is coned/blocked off and cannot be accessed, so make sure you enter through the opposite gate. Overall, it was an amazing trip. Our family would absolutely stay here again!

We looked for properties in Waikoloa, most required at least 5 nights. We were staying 4 nights in Hilo and needed only 3 nights in Waikoloa. So grateful that we were able to rent this clean, well stocked, condo. The host was attentive and responded to us when we asked that the A/C be turned down a little more. We will return!

Awesome VRBO
This is an amazing VRBO located in the resort area of Waikoloa. It is located next to the posh Hilton resort and close to the Mauna Lani resort as well. Both have beautiful grounds and nice beaches. Paul is very organized (kitchen cabinets label where everything goes) and the place is well stocked. The kitchen has everything you need in case you want to prepare your own meals. There are plenty of beach towels and beach gear. It is very modern and spacious. There is a nice pool right around the corner. The upstairs bathroom has an awesome double shower. Also, a full bath downstairs as well. Easily accommodates a family of four. Highly recommend this place. Thanks Paul.
