The Finch was clean, modern and fresh. The property was previously an outdated motel, but now is comfortable, very clean and stylish. The bed and bedding were super comfortable, the staff was more than accommodating and friendly, and we loved the little extras like fresh popcorn, great coffee, wine sample at check-in, outdoor games and more. I do wish the air conditioner unit was a bit more quiet, or that each room had a sound machine. But there was no noise from other guests or the neighborhood. We enjoyed the stay in Walla Walla, just a block from delicious restaurants and tasting rooms.

I will definitely stay at The Finch next time I come to Walla Walla. The property is beautiful, and I really enjoyed the fact that we could walk to so much of what downtown Walla Walla has to offer. Plus, I love the mid-century design and being greeted with I a glass of wine upon check-in.

We locked our bikes up on the property and had many things (including seats!) stolen off them. If it's not safe to lock up bikes, then there should be a sign. The staff was not overly friendly; felt like we were an imposition.

During the check-in 8/3 early afternoon (around 130-2p), the front desk person was not quite attentive. Also asking $1 to pay (not a deposit?) via credit card, which I find weird because I specifically asked if it was a deposit but his answer was no.

Hi Maki, Thank you so much for your feedback! I am sorry about the lack of attention as well as the confusion regarding the 1.00 charge. For guests that book and pay online via a reservation site like Expedia, we request a 1.00 incidental hold on a personal credit card at the time of check-in. This is simply a secure way to hold a personal credit card on file in our system in case of an incidental charge outside of your room and taxes paid to the third-party Expedia. The 1.00 authorization is just a hold on your credit card and is removed after you check-out. I hope that answers your question. If there is anything else we could have done to improve the check-in experience, or overall stay in general, please let me know!

Great, hip place to stay. Very welcoming front desk. Had a little welcome sample of local wine at the desk. Room was super cute and hip. Comfy bed. Definitely walkable to all of the winery tastings, or you can grab a couple of their complimentary bikes if they are available. It was quiet at night. No coffee in the room, but in the detached lobby it was available. There were some smudged walls, but overall fairly clean. We had to print out a label, the front desk persons were helpful printing it out. Would recommend a stay here.
