Unfortunately there’s nothing we can do about the freeway noise. The tiny town of Wallace is right on the freeway, and you can hear the highway noise everywhere in town. It’s part of our history; the plan was to demolish much of the historic town to put the freeway right through the center of town, but the citizens rallied to get every singe building and house on the National Register of Historic Places, forcing the freeway to move to save the history. We do provide earplugs for our guests to help light sleepers. For the heat, it is typically not that low and doesn’t take that long to heat up; the previous guests must have changed the settings on the thermostat, unfortunately. If we had known about the situation, we could have adjusted the thermostat from our phones and also provided space heaters to help until it warmed up.

College Reunion

Flea Market Weekend

Publié le 6 août 2024 sur HomeAwayIt was the perfect location for our group. Ee had tons of family in toen for a function at the Elks. Everything within walking didtance. Also loved that ee could comfortable watch a movie in the living room. If your a sensitive sleeper bring earplugs as it can be noisy with the freeway traffic and right on the main road into town.

Unique Wallace Stay
Publié le 19 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had planned on biking the Hiawatha, but the weather was poor so we chose to skip the ride and explore Wallace. The Church House is the perfect location for people looking for a unique and fun stay and it's a very close walk to great restaurants and quirky shops, it's an adventure and a place to remember because it is so different. The only negative was the noise of the highway, but ear plugs were provided and it really wasn't too bad for our group. The beds were comfy and the house is very clean. I'd stay there again.
