Idyllic spot
Publié le 7 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWell fitted out cabin in idyllic spot. Our Labrador met a local visiting roaming Labrador and had the best time romping in the yard. You arrive to the sound of bellbirds. In the morning, it is magpies. Shopping at Bermagui is fast and easy. You won’t be able to take your eyes off the view.

Publié le 18 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property is located in a relaxing spot with lots of nature and walks. You can hear the waves from the beach which was so relaxing and nice way to go to sleep at night. My little dog also enjoyed the time.

Inadequacies

Interior -couldn't find air conditioner. Multiple bare cables emerging from dining room wall not safe

Hey mate.
The cables from the wall are USB phone chargers for guests to use.
The welcome package is very descriptive regarding access key. A phone torch over a 10 meters walk helps with finding the keys easily and without theneed to lit the whole yard.
I respect you don't wish to come back however you are always welcome back. Cheers

Great place let down by experience with owner
Publié le 27 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayOur time at Beauty Point Wallaga Lake was one of two experiences. Firstly the good points: the property is in a lovely spot being on the lake front, is quiet and close to some lovely walks from the cottage and great places by car. However, we had an issue with the cleaning and cooking facilities that prompted me to contact the owner. The freestanding cooker’s oven was filthy; the controls were covered in grease. Furthermore, there are no visible settings on the oven and hob controls as they have been worn away, so you are working blind, once you have cleaned the grease off them. Additionally, there were no oven trays to place food on; the only saucepans available were 2 X 1 Litre saucepans and 1 X 7 litre saucepan. Ridiculous for self-catering. I raised the above issues with the owner and got this back “What you see is what you get. From hundreds of people that stayed over all managed to make use of the premises”. So somewhat alarmed I raised this with VRBO who agreed with me that the owners tone was inappropriate to the extent that I was refunded 15% as valued repeat VRBO customer. The owner’s manner is hostile and should think more of his paying customers. Shame!
