Our charming farmhouse is in the heart of the Gaspereau Valley, Nova Scotia’s premier wine destination. The three-bedroom home is situated on a 60-acre working farm where the Gaspereau River meets the majestic Bay of Fundy. This private property is only 8 km (5 mi) to Wolfville, 5 km (3 mi) to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Grand Pré, 20 km to Ski Martock (12 mi), and minutes to local Wineries, Breweries, and Beaches!
The long, secluded laneway assures quiet and privacy. Stone and mosaic decks with a gas BBQ welcome you to a large, fully appointed home. Our kitchen (range, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, drip coffee pot), serves all your dining needs and a separate dining room with seating for 8 gives you all the convenience of home. A small dining nook is great for quick lunches or morning coffee and toast. A large living room, comfortable sofas, and family room with a piano and CD sound system, with 100’s of CDs add to your leisure. The first-floor bathroom is fully renovated to include a walk-in shower, double sinks, whirlpool tub, heated floors, a toilet, and large fluffy towels. A washer and dryer are also available on the first floor for your exclusive use.
The second floor provides 3 large bedrooms with 2 queen-sized beds and a third with a double bed. The master bedrooms feature an ensuite bathroom, a fireplace, and a balcony overlooking the first floor. The large second-floor family room has 2 pull-out sofa beds (suitable for children), a television, DVD player, WIFI, and other assorted digital media.
To ensure your comfort, sleeping capacity is limited to a maximum of six adults and two children.
*Please note - this is an active rural farm property featuring an updated century-old home. While many of our guests enjoy the nature that surrounds us, it is often also active with wildlife including chickens, deer, dogs, cats, and rodents in the vicinity. Please be aware and reach out to us with any concerns.
Pets are allowed; however, they must be crated at night and are not allowed in the bedrooms, or on the second floor.
We also stock a fine selection of local wines and fresh vegetables from the farm if requested and in season. Local winery tours, hiking guides, and discounts to wineries are available on request and availability.
Fantastic dining is available in Wolfville, DEVOUR the Food & Film Festival in Oct and for winter guests, the Icewine Festival and Ski Martock are only 20 km (12 mi) away. The Gaspereau Valley is considered one of the best biking regions of Eastern Canada and a great location for river-tubing.
