I genuinely loved my stay here. Room was clean, there was plenty of parking and they made some really good cocktails. Can’t complain for an overnight stay.

Super easy check in once you know what to do. The room I had was very comfortable and the shower pressure perfect. One small consideration would be to have slightly better lighting for older eyes in the bathroom and at the key code.

The Black Gold Motel is outstanding! It is clean, well-maintained, the staff are excellent, the service is great! And the best part is the on-site restaurant and bar. I thought it would be just pub food, but oh no, they have taken what could have been pub food and brought it up to a whole new level. The chilli prawn linguini, the calamari with spicy mustard cream, fresh mushroom soup, all magnificent! And the service is outstanding, well done to all their staff! This has to be one of the best places to stay over once you're west of the blue mountains. Highly recommend!

Very understanding and accommodating!
Very understanding and accommodating - was able to fit us in for dinner on site at the last moment. The pork cutlet was a standout, and the chicken roulade was quite flavoursome - appreciate the waitress’ recommendation! The room (unit 42) also ticked all the boxes - in great condition, clean, and with helpful attention the detail such as 2 built in USB ports for the wall outlet next to the desk. Only the possibly less than perfect soundproofing could be of one’s concern - far from a deal breaker as it was quiet when we visited, and we did not hear much else besides the occasional vehicles arriving and departing, and the rolling in (and out) of luggage. Very well done overall - looking forward to our next visit :)

Luxury in the country
On the way to IronFest, we stayed at the Black Gold Motel. I love the place. It's well maintained. There is a restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Both lovely. Staff helped with our late arrival and bookings for the dinner and the breakfast. We will visit again! All trees around were lovely in the autum fall time!

Ease of booking stay. Unfortunately, it was the easter weekend so didn't get to try the restaurant or interact with any staff however it still felt welcoming. Rooms were clean and fresh. If I'm in the area again will definitely stay again.
