Peaceful and cozy slice of heaven
Publié le 22 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWhat an amazing little place this was! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hidden gem. Right on the water, we enjoyed early morning coffee watching the fish jump and the birds float along the water. We slept up in the loft and the view out the window at sunrise was just breathtaking. We will definitely be booking here again! Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!

Perfect spot for a family of 5!
Publié le 8 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe took the kids down the cape to celebrate our oldest 9th birthday and this cottage was the perfect spot. The kids had a blast having their own space with bunk beds and the views were absolutely spectacular. We already can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended!

Be sure before booking
Publié le 7 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is a well thought out description of the property, making it look so much better than it is. It's far from a cozy cottage, more like a tired boat shed. It doesn't have a bathroom, an inside dark cloakroom and outside shower the only way to wash. The true description should be a glamping hut, in fact it would be better to camp outside. The mattress on the floor in the eves is not suitable accomodation at this price, and the "bunk beds" are only suitable for small children. I complained to VRBO who refunded my fee, but the host was not helpful and refused any compensation.

2.5 hours after checking in I got an email saying "hi sorry but we can't stay there, we've locked it up and left". That was our only communication to that point regarding check in or any issues. Two weeks later a series of rants via emails demanding money back came in. I explained he didn't read nor honor the cancellation policy agreement and it is extremely evident in his accusations that he didn't look at the advertisement before booking as he accused me of false advertising saying I offered only a black garden hose as a shower among other false claims. I redirected him to the advertisement and showed him actual pictures of what he said wasn't there. He then threatened to expose all our emails which is fine with me as I have been professional and provided a clean and accurately described place and generally gets great reviews. It is unfortunate he was not happy with his stay, however him not reading the policies, not reviewing the description and photos or asking any questions before booking and then leaving as his expectations weren't met (because he didn't fully read the property description) doesn't justify a bad review because he didn't honor his agreement contract with VRBO. Be careful when offering to rent your place to this person.

Miss it already
Publié le 26 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved our stay in this cozy, rustic cottage. My husband enjoys fishing at the canal and my son and nephews enjoyed crabbing and playing on the private beach. The view from the sliding doors cannot be beat. It felt secluded, relaxing, and peaceful but everything you need is a short drive away. We wish we could have stayed longer, but back to reality for us. Showering outside was a little strange at first but added to the fun of the whole weekend. We hope to be back soon.

Wonderful stay at locely cottage
