Vrbo hadn't booked our accommodation...

Unable to give a rating for this property as someone else was already staying in the accommodation we had booked thru Vrbo. Spent 4 hours travelling to a luxury lodge for 2 night break. Upon arrival, we found that someone else was already in occupation. The 'Host' of the lodge was unhelpful about our situation and just told us to contact Vrbo who it seems didn't book or confirm our break with the 'host'. The first call to Vrbo lasted just over 5 minutes and then I got cut off. My 2nd call lasted over 50 minutes, I had to explain the whole situation again to two different people, in two different departments. We demanded a refund and then had to make our own arrangements to find alternative accommodation for the weekend. If you are going to use a 3rd party company to book your holiday, please contact the Venue directly in advance to confirm your booking. This was my first booking with Vrbo, and I will not be using them again. Totally useless and ruined our weekend plans.
