Avis Cozy cottage on Pleasant Pond

Unfortunately Ms Morris isn't being entirely honest in her review which is obviously intended to insult us and our cottage after some rather bizarre behavior. Ms Morris showed up with her dog, which is clearly allowed and accepted, however upon seeing a posted friendly reminder about (pets being on the furniture, dogs being on leashes, picking up pets waste, etc.), Ms Morris immediately wanted to leave and demanded a full refund. She was only at the place approximately 15 minutes and wanted to leave based on these signs. I assured Ms Morris her pet would be fine on the furniture and it was posted mainly to avoid rough housing on the furniture. Sadly, Ms Morris had her mind made up. She then appeared to be confused and hung up on our air conditioning system stating it was listed as "central air" and classified our system as not being "central air". No where in our ad does it indicate "central air" VRBO does not provide that option, rather it simply states "air conditioning" provided. To be clear, We have two split mini duct units one of which is centrally located in the cottage and is more than enough to cool the entire home on the warmest days. The other unit is in the main bedroom and provides ample cooling for the entire home. We tried to get Ms Morris to change her mind. We informed her that the place was professionally cleaned from head to toe and urged her to refer to prior reviews with respect to cleanliness, to no avail. She left the cottage then pleaded for "at least some of the rental cost could be refunded". Oddly, she returned back to the cottage the next morning (disregarding her concern for getting itchy) to "remove a bag of trash she left behind" and to "turn the a/c back on" - a bag of trash she left during her15 minute stay...? To summarize, we wanted Ms Morris to stay and was willing to accommodate any reasonable requests to make her stay better. She initially showed a lot of interest in using the kayaks and enjoying the lake but could not get past the posted signs about the pets and was rattled over the air conditioning system being listed as central air which was never the case. Had there been no electricity or no working television, something wrong with any of the advertised systems, then yes a refund would have been necessary. We reserved these dates exclusively for Ms Morris per her request only for her to suddenly leave without a valid reason. Many other folks who wanted to book weren't able to because of her reservation. We pride ourselves in providing the best stay possible for every guest but do realize everyone is different. Regardless, we will continue to please every guest the very best we can. We wish Ms Morris all the best, but caution other hosts to be aware of this strange behavior.
