Family Weekend at Norwich University 2024
Publié le 17 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayGreat house for the weekend. plenty of room very clean and the hot tub was great! Super easy to book and it was about 25 minutes from Norwich University. We had 5 adults and plenty of room for everyone. Back deck was very comfortable to sit outside! only issue was we had zero internet service for me that was great but not so much for the rest of them!

Great house; mixed stay due to lack of information
Publié le 11 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayOur trip to Higgins Lodge was very mixed. As a whole, the house was great with plenty of space and we loved the fireplace, availability of wood, and the proximity to Sugarbush.
We did have some negative experiences with this booking. When we arrived we were given the code to the door without any instructions and could not figure how to get in. We tried a to reset the lock to get in, but ultimately had to drive up the street for service to make a phone call. The property manager was able to give us the code to unlock the lock box with the key.
The hot tub was a selling point for this house, however 5 of our guests got a rash of "pseudomonas aeruginosa" which we believe to be caused from the hot tub being poorly maintained.
On the last night we were there, it snowed 14 inches and we woke up to no power or water. The weather is not within anyone's control, however, we believe there should have been information left behind for a situation like this where we could get in direct contact with the owners or someone local in the area. We managed to get in contact with the property manager by walking up the street for service, however they had no info to share about a plow. We were able to get plowed out of the driveway by a local in the area.
Overall, this property is great. I believe leaving information for tenants would have completely improved our experience. This includes basic information and a direct contact to a human representative of this house in cases of emergency.

Publié le 3 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe house was spacious and well equipped. It was 20 minutes from a wedding venue we were attending. Made a long weekend of it. The yard was beautiful and the hot tub was enjoyed! Would highly recommend.

Great kitchen and location!

Great space to bring in gear to keep warm with a hot tube to help you relax your muscles! Overall we would recommend this home for those looking to relax and particularly if you enjoy cooking.
Recently updated aspects of the home make it very comfortable, though break tripped twice for unclear reasons (no additional use of outlets when occurred). The lockbox failed though they had appropriate back-up, but communication with the property management company was a bit hit or miss.
