If you like Old and Rustic
Publié le 11 août 2024 sur HomeAwayTown is pretty run down. Had to be there for a wedding, so not many choices. We were upstairs in the apartment. Very old and Rustic. Do not plan on sleeping in the living room as an option. Futon cushion is shot. Could use some TLC. It was fine for our needs. Could hear the river once the AC was turned off. So that was a plus.

The best of a bad situation
Publié le 24 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had another VRBO but 4 hours before check in we were canceled on because of the recent storm that made the property unavailable. We last minute booked this property & we were grateful to find a place last minute. We asked if we could check in early which the host accommodated but they provided no further details so we ultimately ended up showing up at the property because we couldn’t reach the owner through the app. The host was staying at the property the night before & left food in the fridge, which she claimed she would come back for but didn’t. There was only one key for the front door & no key for the upstairs apartment & there was a lock on the doorknob and a hotel slide lock, which didn’t make me feel safe. There are two apartments on the first floor, one has access to the same door we did & we did come home at one point to the door deadbolted (which we did not have a key for) but luckily someone opened the door for us. The entire space felt like a college apartment. The AC units in the rooms were great & the dining space accommodated us all. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the VRBO & we were happy to have a place to sleep at the end of the night. There is a wooden toilet seat which I find unsanitary but you can put toilet paper on the seat to feel more comfortable. The room with the King should have had a queen, it’s a small room. Walkable neighborhood & very close to Lake George.

Visit with Family
Publié le 7 oct. 2022 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed our stay at this property, Glenda was very helpful and made our stay very nice. The property worked well for us and will consider staying there if we need to in the future.
Very happy with our time here.

Multiple issues with stay, highly inconvenient and dissatisfactory stay would not recommend
Publié le 10 juill. 2022 sur HomeAwayThe address on the listing was incorrect and took us over an hour to find the right property, at this time the host did not pick up or answer our messages after calling them multiple times. We did not receive any arrival instructions to the property nor Wi-Fi login. We tried contacting Vrbo support but the wait time was over an hour and they were not helpful. The listing said 3-beds but the apartment only had 2-bedrooms. Did not find the property worth the price and dissatisfied with Vrbo. The apartment was clean and had a nice location not too far from Lake George.

There is 2 bedroom. One with a king bed and the other with a queen. The third sleeping space is in the livingroom. A futon that sleeps 2 and a twin couch that sleeps 1. The wifi info is posted on the kitchen door post. It's really very visible. Why would a guest not email and call. I sleep with my phone. POssible spectrum was down. That happens at times in the Adirondacks. Probably more often than heavier populated areas. In my view, a real deal so close to Lake George. Literally 5 minute drive.
