Cozy Sunset Beach Cottage By Lake and Ocean, Peaceful Setting *Wi-Fi*

This house is in a perfect location. It is literally steps away from Lake Neacoxie. It is a short 1/4 mile walk to Sunset Beach. This beach is great because you can drive on beach is also know for it's amazing clamming season. So much fun for adults and the kids. Seaside is 8 miles down the road, or the other direction is Astoria, which has the best Saturday Market and amazing shopping.

The house was built in 1940, and has been renovated. We have a family of 4, and usually bring another couple. It seems to be the perfect size. My family and I love going there to re plug into each other. It works every time!

We love our home, and hope you get the same enjoyment from it as we do!

Large home near the beach
With three bedrooms and 6 total beds, there is plenty of space for everyone. The neighborhood is quiet and conveniently located near an awesome bakery. The house is stocked with everything you need (except there was no soap for the shower-bring your own). Everything was great from check in to check out, however, the Cadet heating units in the main living room didn't work. the bedrooms were fine, and we weren't in the house except to sleep, so it didn't matter much. We visited in Feb, so didn't access the beach..

Delightful Small House
It was easy to find, "check-in" and get settled in. Everything you need for a vacation is on property. There is a full kitchen in which my family cooked Christmas dinner. We were able to make do with the numerous pots, pans, and baking sheets. There is only one bathroom but as long as your family knows how to share it isn't a problem. Plenty of sleeping space for the three of us amongst the three rooms. There is a bookshelf in the big bedroom, and games in the closet. The cable and internet worked well.Better than all that, you are a block from a cute lake and a short drive (we walked it the first time) to the ocean. The walk wasn't bad if you are used to walking the distance. It's close enough to Fred Meyer's, Costco, and Wal-Mart to pick up anything you need. Overall, we would happily stay here again.

The cottage has everything you need for a coastal retreat. We went into Astoria, hiked in Ecola State Park, and enjoyed some of the historic sites in the area. All in all, an great place to call home while you explore the northern Oregon coast.

Such a great place for our family! We love the convenience and space here. Such a great way to enjoy the coast. The lake and little playground nearby as well as easy access to the beach are wonderful. We’d definitely recommend staying here!

Awesome summer vacation
I traveled with 3 adult children and this house was near to perfect for our family's needs, we wanted something close to the beach and a lake for my youngest to fish. The bedrooms were nice, mine and my son's beds were very comfortable however my daughter and her boyfriend, who slept in the master said they didn't care for the mattress. I would recomend another fan or 2, the house gets kinda warm and there were not enough fans for all the bed rooms and living room. Very quite neighborhood just a 2 minute drive to the beautiful beach and super close to grocery stores, local shops and restraunts. The lake is about a block away and didn't look like it had much public access for fishing but we talked to the neighbor who lives right on the lake and she said it was fine for my son to fish there. We stayed up until about 2 am each night just playing the board games at the kitchen table. On our last day there my son fished all day while my daughter, her boyfriend and I hung out at the beach all day flighing kites. We even had a bonfire and watched the sunset right on the beach! Would definatley recommend this rental and also hope to stay here again.

It was a cute little cottage house with two queen bed bedrooms, and one bedroom with several bunk beds. The kitchen space was nice and usable, with plenty of towels and dishes and spices. It was easy to cook food, and the beach and a cafe were a short walk away.

Perfect spot
Just a short stay in town for a softball tournament. Perfect location for us between seaside and astoria. Loved our stay at the house and paddle boarding on the lake. Hope we get a chance to stay again in the future!

Cottage had everything we needed for a well deserved get away. Loved the location and we were very comfortable staying there. One exception was the pillows on the beds we used definitely need to be replaced. They are old&stained. Otherwise this was perfect!

The place was easy to find and clean. It is very well stocked with any and everything you may need. The neighborhood was quiet and the beds were comfy. It does not have AC but a fan is there. The lock box is hars to open and close, that was the only thing we had trouble with. The owner gives great info and communications. We will say there again when in the area! Thanks for a nice stay! Its a great place to stay especially if tou like to be around water like I do. Its close to everything and walking distance to the beach and lake. We loved being able to cook and do laundry. They had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.

We had such a relaxing stay here. The beds were so comfortable and the bathroom is large! Most of all - I accidentally left behind a diamond necklace that the cleaning team secured and mailed back to me. We will be back!

Great little cottage in an awesome location!
Stayed 3 nights at this property and we all loved it! Beds were comfortable, lots of space and house is well-stocked. Theres a little park down the road that my 9 year old played at. Beach acess was wonderful and just a short drive (could have walked but didnt) down the road. Would stay again!

We loved this cute cottage! It’s way bigger than it looks from the front! The set up was great and the kids loved the bunk room. The beach was an easy walk away and the neighborhood is nice. Short getaway with family
My husband and 2 kids stayed at the cottage for 2 nights and my brothers and their kids stopped by for lunch and dinner our 2nd day. This beach cottage was really cute and what we liked was that it was very well stocked with towels and washcloths in the bath and kitchen. The kitchen was also well equipped and had most spices you would need. What we felt could be improved was that it was really dusty because of old carpet and furniture. The nearby lake was fun to take our kids out on the inflatable kayak. The beach was windy during the day but it died down around sunset for a nice walk. It’s a long flat beach and plenty of people were driving on it so it depends on if that is your preference. We enjoyed visiting nearby Astoria, Ft. Stevens and Lewis and Clark NP. It had a cute coffee shop down the road across from the park near the lake.

Good location, could use some updates
The house was clean and had room for many guests and toys for kids. Location is good as you can walk to the beach and the nearby lake. Also there's a great bakery just down the street. Some of the bed linens (mattress pad, foam mattress topper in main bedroom) need to be replaced and some of the throw pillows need to be thrown. The couch has seen better days and is not very comfortable to sit on. We attended a wedding reception in Gearhart and it was an easy drive there.

Good location
Location was great. However, this cottage needs some seious updates. One bathroom for a large group was a problem and the towels were leftovers from "grandma's house". The kitchen pans are terrible--it was not "well-stocked". Again, very old pans, some were dirty. The living area is not set up for a family. The "sofa" had a cover on, just an old couch that was awful with an old cover. It needs new furniture that people can actually sit on, not leftover kitchen chairs. The table seated 4, and the counter had 2 wobbly stools. The kitchen cabinets have areas that are peeling. Also, the beds were awful. The bed I slept on was full size, not queen. Everyone complained about their beds. Lastly, there were so many knick knacks that we had to move to use the counters, hang towels, etc. Overall, this cottage needs serious updating.
