Perfect for our needs

The place is clean and spacious.
Easy access and 3 minutes walk from the beach!
So we enjoyed our 4 days as it should!

Slightly Disappointing
Publié le 8 août 2022 sur HomeAwayUpon arrival, I discovered the property is right on the main street so it was noisy, not at all like you expect a cottage to be.
Walking in we were very happy to see how modern and clean the property was, but felt the extreme heat as this cottage has no air conditioning (something I was unaware of).
There were not enough towels for each of us so we had to share (we were a family of 4).
The backyard deck had no stairs so you had to jump down to the grass. Needless to say, we didn’t use the fire pit because it was to hard go go up and down off the deck. The deck also had no railing so it would be a hazard to younger children.
However, the bbq worked well.
The fridge was difficult to use as it was hard to open the door due to the layout of the kitchen. A bit frustrating to say the least.
The beds were comfortable, the sheets were crisp and clean and their were plenty of outlets for charging devices.
The bathroom was small, but the shower was wonderful! Strong water power and larger compared to other cottages I have rented.

Hi Maria, thanks for the feedback. I just wanted to address a few of your points of concern.
We were able to install stairs to the deck this week and we are sorry that caused you any issues. I will point out, the backyard and fire pit is also accessible from the side yard.
The cottage is outfitted with 10 bath towels for your convenience. As we shared - extra towels are stored in the linen closet next to the laundry room. When you raised this during your stay we checked with our cleaning service and confirmed these were all available.
The noise of the road hasn’t been an issue that bothers us. But Wasaga Beach is a city and the properties are not in a remote setting.
The property rarely feels warm due to the cooler nights and nearby water, so air conditioning hasn’t been necessary (nor do we list it as having a/c). But we understand you were here during a long heat wave to contribute to this.
We have done our best to presented a realistic description of the house, as we think the proximity to the beach and cleanliness make it a great spot for families like ours.
