Publié le 24 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe really enjoyed our stay. Very cool historic home, fabulous neighborhood. Within walking distance to restaurants. TV didn’t work well and the beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. This place would be perfect with those two fixes!

Publié le 14 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were 3 sisters and 1 daughter ranging in age from 54 to 79. Our stay at 607B was memorable. Accommodations were lovely. We all slept well in the comfortable beds. Our evenings were spent outside on the front patio or the backyard sitting are and in the cozy sitting area inside. Everything was clean and in working order. The owner was very responsive and checked on us to see if we needed anything. This historic apartment was perfect for our stay in DC. We have recommended it to other relatives. The location was wonderful. We arrived at Union Station and walked to the apartment through a lovely, historic area of DC. We spent each day walking - to the Supreme Court, Capitol, White House, war memorials, Lincoln Memorial, Library of Congress. Georgetown was a quick ride from the apartment and the Riverfront area was intriguing and the water taxi a must. We look forward to staying here again when we return to DC.

Great place! Great host!
Publié le 16 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis place was incredible! It is a very well kept unit with all the amenities. We were five people with two adults, two teenagers and a six year old and there was still a lot of space to relax.
Eric was very helpful and kept in touch during our staying through the Vrbo email to make sure everything was fine and if we needed anything. Eric was very quick to respond to any questions. He helped me with the parking pass situation because of my technology deficiencies. Parking is on the street but street traffic is light and I felt that my car was safe.
The location is great. You are only a few blocks from the U.S. Capital, Union Station, Supreme Court etc. It is an easy walk. You can catch the guided tour on Old Town tour bus at Union Station to take you to all of the places if you do not feel like walking.
I am a very loyal Marriott customer but this place is an even better value because you get the local experience of staying in an historic building with the different parks, restaurants and sites nearby. The locals were very friendly to us.
We are planning to come back to D.C. hopefully next year and I am going to plan ahead so we can stay here again. Thank you Eric!!!

Nice landing spot for family to explore DC
Publié le 27 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayClose to Mall and museums. Nice spot. Neighborhood seemed safe and parking was easy, but make sure that you go through the process to reserve the parking pass in advance, as you'll need to go to a website and print off the pass. Eric easy to work with.

We loved our stay in DC

It involved us having to move during our trip but it really wasn't inconvenient at all. We were so grateful that Eric was able to handle the very last minute and unexpected situation so easily and both of the apartments worked out well for us. The Capitol Hill neighborhood had everything we needed and is so convenient to many of the popular places to visit in the city. We also took advantage of the parking pass and didn't have any issues finding a parking space during our stay.

Worst Vrbo stay EVER
Publié le 5 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe arrived the place was a ground floor apartment which is fine we sat on the couch and suddenly a RAT jumped on the window! My mother in law in her 70’s screamed!
The garage bins were next to the window so a rat that I later found out was living in the bushes must have been chilling in the bins.
I contacted the host and NO response. After 4 hours I contacted VRBO that was also unable to contact the host.
We booked a hotel and left.
Now I’m fighting with VRBO to get my money back since the host is not responding at all.
VRBO should be more helpful.
The money for the booking should be placed in an escrow and released to the owner once the stay is complete. This is ridiculous! I paid so much.
