The bathroom door was not aligned to close, there was no rack or closet for the hangers that were left in the room to use, and there was no TV remote upon entrance.

We arrived without a car & walked from union station. At dusk we attempted to walk to a bus station which we heard was behind Target. We never found it in the dark. We tried to stay away from the traffic & walked thru the parking lot but there was no access out!! Not good. Otherwise the stay was good

Train was the worst if your a light sleeper
Check in was fine. Our room was on the back side of the hotel which I do not recommend your right up against the train tracks and every time the train goes by not only do you hear it but the bed shakes. The parking garage is small and if a suv parks in the spot behind your suv it’s not easy to back out without having to pull forward and back out several times due to the structure braces. The breakfast was ok the elevator could use some work the hotel overall is nice looking inside you can tell they remodeled. Would I stay again probably not simply bc of the train and being woken up all night.

I liked that there was accessible parking, but at night this area of DC gets a little sketchy. Also, not very walkable to public transit.

I was taken aback by the pictures of Abraham Lincoln that to me signals that you are favoring one party. The key cards were of all white people nothing Latin. Nothing signaling that you were in DC. The elevator is old & noisey. They placed us right next to the elevator. They were not able to secure a taxi. It was not even 10 p.m. They offered no alternative. While the staff was professional, they were not very accommodating. I asked for a 1 hr late checkout because the night from the elevator kept me up most of the night. The woman at the reception desk barely allowed me to finish my sentence. I then adjusted it to 30/45 min. You guessed it, she said, no. I checked it at almost 7p.m., so that was not an unusual request. Note: Expedia should provide a credit for my next reservation but at a location of my choice. Not La Quinta.

Pros: friendly staff, free quality breakfast, Dove brand toiletries, comfortable beds, sundries shop, located next to Target Cons: next to train tracks, far from attractions, uber eats takes long to deliver in this area. We had an incident with teens kicking at our door and other doors. Staff didn’t seem prepared to handle the situation and poorly handled.

The inside of the hotel looks pretty updated actually, though walls aren't sound proof so I could hear the hallway noises clearly. My biggest complaint is the outside area: even though there is a Target store and a bus stop nearby, there isn't any proper sidewalk to get there. I wish that can be improved so that it's more convenient to walk to nearby places.
