First time in DC was a success! This property was great and central to everything. We did Uber most of the time and most places were a max of 15 minutes away- Smithsonian, National Art Gallery, National Mall, The White House, etc.

We loved The Madison's style, cleanliness, and location! The front desk was stellar!! The maid sevice was outstanding! But the Marketplace staff were unfriendly and not helpful, and the food costs were exorbitant.

Overall is really good. But the cleaning is the thing they need to work on. The room was extremely dusty even right after the housekeeping left. So they don’t wipe the dust, they don’t vacuum or simple don’t come to clean. The rest of the stay was amazing.

The hotel is very clean. Smells wonderful. The front desk was very help, especially the gentleman with dreads, he is very welcoming and he explains things to make guests happy. The problem with this hotel is the parking. They charge parking for $60 tax =$71 per day. There is close parking places for only $10 per day. That having been said, please read carefully on hotels before booking. The sad thing is when we asked where the parking garage or lot was, the guy/the valet just offered to take the vehicle. In the morning, boom, $71. Called the hotel staff, and was transferred to the manager. " she said get your car out, we pay parking in Washington DC." Which is ok. She is the manager, but that's not professional.
