Awesome Location and Beautiful Home
Publié le 12 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe really enjoyed this home. It was peaceful, well equipped and quiet. The house was very clean and well maintained. The location is fabulous!! We could walk to downtown or walk the other way and visit the inner water outfitters. Close to restaurants and grocery store.

Great visit in Washington NC!

The house had great views of the Pamlico and was just far enough from the stores and restaurants to be quiet while still an easy walk to all the fun stuff. Great starting point for a run upriver or down river. We used the house as a base for some college visits, but if you arrive by boat, the house is an easy walk from the city dock for a couple of nights ashore!

Great location! Quiet, Comfortable
Publié le 28 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe Sterling House was very comfortable, clean & quiet. Easy location to find, nicely located for access to the area’s sights. We visited the area for a wedding over in Moorehead City, NC Aquarium on the coast.
The visit, the wedding, the people we met were some of the kindest of folks..
Nice to visit a small town with that small town feeling.
Great time, great place, can’t wait to visit again.

Publié le 7 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe needed a get-away. We stayed here a couple years ago and enjoyed it so much we wanted to return. The host is wonderful! Linens are not only included, they’re already on the beds! The house is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. We relaxed on the back deck, watched the river, the geese, and the very entertaining squirrels, LOL! Downtown is minutes away and has some top quality restaurants. We highly recommend Blu Farm to Table, Ribeyes Steakhouse, and the Water Street Cafe. The Sterling House is a perfect place to relax and unwind.

Cute and cozy historic home with remarkable river view
Publié le 20 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy daughter was celebrating her 40th birthday so her dad and I visited Washington for the first time and stayed at the Sterling House. It is in a perfectly pristine district within walkable distance to downtown. From its charming character, to the ease of check in and check out, to the amazing river view porch, The Sterling House and its host William are true gems. The pet friendly house provided our daughter and her husband the opportunity to bring their dog Kenji and she loved the fenced in backyard and the doggie bed and bowls. Parking was easy, as was any communication I needed to have with William. The Sterling House will continue to be my first choice when we return to Washington.

He answered all our questions, and provided us with everything we needed to have a wonderful stay. The view of the Pamlico River from the porch was incredible! We look forward to staying at the Sterling House when we return to Washington.

Home in active waterfront community
Publié le 29 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe ball is rolling in little Washingtons revitalization of its waterfront community and it’s historic district. Sterling house is ideally located on the more quiet and peaceful portion of the water. A short enjoyable walk gets you to the center of their park, shops, restaurants, breweries. The Social district was Very well attended And we easily found activities and live music. Also close by were places for kayak boat and bike rentals. A Few blocks away was a park with pickleball and tennis courts. The house was very comfortable. Historic but with many updates that made it more modern and comfortable. The back porch has a large comfortable swing from where you can enjoy views of the river. We were also happy to be able to enjoy the trip with our dog.

2nd time around
Publié le 4 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was our second time renting from William, so obviously we love the house, location and William is an excellent host. He is extremely responsive. The check in could not be easier. Everything you need for the stay is provided. The very best part is sitting on the back porch swing with a nice breeze from the water!
