Weekend at the Lake

Dirty, we left after 20 minutes

The couch is in very poor condition with many stains and dirt.
The house had a strong musty smell.
There are obvious water issues with staining on window frames.
The owner offered to clean AFTER we arrived...but aren't they supposed to clean BEFORE the guest checks in?
Also, the stairs that go to the second floor lean to one side. No bath on the 2nd floor with the two main bedrooms so you might need to use those stairs in the middle of the night.
The basement is very very rustic.
The home was in such bad condition we left after about 20 minutes; after taking pictures that I can't share as part of the review which is frustrating.

We appreciate every guest that allows us the opportunity to host their stay. Every so often, though, we encounter a guest who misrepresents so grossly and unfairly their experience; this being one of those cases.
The professional cleaning staff we employ cleans between each and every guest. If we are ever presented with a request to further address something, we are happy to oblige; as was offered in this case but was declined. We regularly clean and even change out furniture as needed, along with providing mattress covers and other needed sanitary devices to allow for a safe and comfortable stay. Our photos and descriptions clearly state where rooms and bathrooms are located in the cottage, allowing all guests the option to decide if the floorplan fits their needs ahead of booking a stay with us.
Whereas everyone is welcome to their opinion and opinions are highly subjective, this is sadly a case of a disgruntled guest who's expectations were either unrealistic or unattainable. Our extensive positive reviews should be more than enough to speak to the level of service and quality we strive to give our guests. Comfort, cleanliness, and care is what we pride ourselves on being able to provide. Above all, we appreciate all of our guests who give us the opportunity to share our passion and joy of lakeside living with them!

Great Lake House

Lake Charmer
Publié le 26 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe cottage is a bit of a throwback to simple lake life. We slowed down. We played. We loved the views from every level. The lake and kayaks gave us the right amount of summer vacation and laughs. Sweet master bedroom and deck. Deck off kitchen was just perfect for early morning coffee and late afternoon glass of wine. Easy to use TV with apps and AC worked well so we were cool even on the hottest day. Thanks for sharing this gem.

Perfect spot

The beds were comfy and the water softener was a nice change from hotel hard water. There are a few local restaurants in the area and addtl shopping just a few miles away. While The owners were reachable if needed, there was nothing amiss or needed. Thank you for your hospitality!

Cozy Lake House

Great Lake House!

The location is awesome, and the view of the lake is beautiful. Unfortunately, we did not have time to use the kayaks, but it would have been a blast! Would definitely stay here again.

Great weekend getaway
