The staff was lovely. Rooms were so clean and comfortsble. Decor was a dated for some they may mind but not an issue here ;) at all.

I'll summarize my husband's review on Google: Aspen Village is sorely under staffed within the cleaning crew. For people who have spent a long time on the road, who are tired and want to lay on a bed for a short while to recover, when the check-in time says 4pm it should be at that time and not nearly two hours later. On maintenance, when I walked the grounds of this motel's sister company Waterton Lakes Lodge, I noticed a broken down washing machine outside a maintenance building. What was telling to me is that washer didn't look like a heavy duty machine that hotels normally use to disinfect their towels and sheets, rather a unit used in family homes. Further, if I could title this review it would read "Lipstick On a Pig," because on the surface this place looks like it was recently renovated. These renovations are only surface measures. When we entered our room and checked for cleanliness, the floor around the toilet smelled like urine. With flooring such as engineered hardwood or vinyl fake wood in washrooms, there is no water resistant protection like when ceramic tile is used and moisture of any kind can seep through the seams and sits underneath. If one looks at the ceiling of unit #1 where we stayed, there is a water stain on the ceiling where the room above likely had water on the floor. I will add that I was offended by a sticker they had at the front desk which suggested that if you think you can do a better you, they are accepting applications. Not worth your $

Thank you and your husband for these thorough reviews Elaine. I am very sorry we did not meet expectations and that you were not satisfied during your time here. It is difficult to staff seasonally in a small remote town, but we are doing the best we can. We also provide housing for our staff, which is where we use the residential washing machines. We have commercial laundry facilities for our guest linens and towels. Aspen Village Inn is an older hotel, and we are continuing to upgrade and renovate every chance we get. We appreciate your feedback and hope you were able to enjoy the Park.

Met our needs

Were surprized to have Youtube TV in room. Ice machine only available during office hours. Pool is off-site but nearby, but nobody gave us the door code, so had to walk back.

However, we apologize for the inconvenience regarding the ice machine and the pool access. We understand how important it is to have access to amenities at your convenience. The ice machine is available during office hours, but we'll review this policy to see if there's a way to make it more accessible. Regarding the pool, we do provide pool passes for all our guest upon request. It seems there was a communication lapse in your case and we apologize for that oversight. We'll work on ensuring that this information is clearly provided to avoid such issues in the future. Thank you again for your comments. Stayed in King Suite. Nice large rooms. Comfy bed. Mini fridge kept our stuff cold. Great location. Friendly and helpful staff.
