Birthday weekend getaway

Not a good stay. Got my pontoon reservation refunded.
Publié le 18 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy check in time was three in the afternoon and I arrived around nine which was just fine. In the middle of the night I got up to go to the bathroom. I noticed someone was peeking in to the window with a flashlight, which didn’t set very well with me. After not sleeping after that, I woke up in the morning to go fishing. I had reserve and rented the pontoon boat For myself to take out onto the lake so I could use it to go fishing. It was not ready. I did get in contact with the host who told me that he was going to try to get a hold of someone who could get the boat ready. I was ready to go fishing at 6:30 in the morning and it was 10 o’clock and the boat was still not ready. As I was waiting, I went into use the bathroom just to find out that the toilet was plugged up. My overall was not I was hoping or expecting.
I was only there for 12 hours. I contacted the host and asked for a refund. I didn’t even mind paying for one day. I was only returned my money on the pontoon boat that I never had the opportunity to use anyway.
I would give communication a three on a scale from one to 10
The property I will say was just like the picture showed and was a nice little set up. Unfortunately, after all of those events, I’m extremely disappointed and not getting more of my money back and things weren’t ready to go. I drove from Iowa to Minnesota just to drive back to Iowa.

well im really sorry that you feel that way. first of all 100% of our people who book the pontoon use it around 10 am. you checked in after nine pm and if you came earlier we could of shown you how to run the pontoon. there is noway i would have a member sitting on the dock at 6 am to show you how to run the pontoon. you could of been alittle more understanding . you had 3 days to take the pontoon out and we would have gave you one day free for the inconvenience. the plumbing was just fine we had the maintenance man check it and there was no problem at all. as far as the person with a light i have no idea what it could of been as we are a very secure resort and never had that problem before. some people you just can't please! Also we would never rent to this person ever again.

Enjoyed our stay

The set up was nice as one of the houses had a nice back deck overlooking the lake with plenty of room to hang out and enjoy the outdoors. The host was great and even brought us some fresh vegetables one afternoon from his garden. We really enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful!
Publié le 29 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwaySuch a cute cabin! Perfect place to unwind. The evenings were peaceful and so quiet! The firepit was a great way to unwind each night. The host was easy to communicate with. I would definitely stay here again.

Publié le 24 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayCabin was perfect for what we were looking for over the weekend. It was also very well stocked with necessities, was clean, comfortable and we loved the deck and lake views. We had friends staying at Kamp Dels so this arrangement worked perfectly for us.
