A 1350 sq ft remodeled farm house on 10 acres with direct access to Shades State Park. There's a private master suite and brand new private bath. There is also a bunk room that sleeps 6. A very large 16x12 screened porch. It sits on 10 maintained acres that is surrounded on two sides by Shades State park and Pine Hills nature preserve. This property sits on a larger 15 acre parcel that adjoins our other listing of an authentic rustic log cabin (VRBO # 762619). The properties can be rented together or separate.

Beautiful Area
Very comfortable. Adequately furnished kitchen. Plenty of space. Bed and bath linens were soft, nice. The 10 acres where the house sits was peaceful and relaxing. Located close to Shades St Park, Turkey Run St Park and a couple of nature reserves. Hosts were attentive, helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.

House was great, clean, slept 7comfortably. Everyone loved the enclosed porch with hot tub! It was nice to access the park by walking across the street. Property was peaceful, great porch swing! Would definitely use again.

Quaint country location
Overall good stay. Close to state parks. Great fun on Sugar Creek. House is an old farmhouse and the lighting was dimmer than what our old eyes are starting to tolerate. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen had the needed amenities. Kids said hot tub wasn't very hot, but they are teens and love boiling water for showers. There were many dead stink bugs under the pull-out couch. Screen on back porch was ripped at the bottom of the door, so we had to chase our little dog twice because if we didn't have a Rubbermaid tub in front of the area of the screen that was loose she'd walk right out onto the steps and run free. Would be great to have small map of the property to get an idea of what areas on the 10 acres is explorable. The kids had a good time, that's the bottom.line.

Cozy, private, and peaceful
This farmhouse was great for our family of seven which consists of my husband and I and our teen and adult children. We spent a lot of time hiking at Shades and Turkey Run State Parks, so the cabin was great for resting and down time. It was clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit in the evening. The owner checked in via email and encouraged us to text him with any questions which we did. He was quick to respond. We also appreciated the provided park pass.

We had the perfect experience staying at this home. The location is fantastic. The house is charming, clean and just perfect. We absolutely love having a fire in the wood stove or sitting by the fire pit outside. The owners are fantastic, responsive and provide a great rental experience. This is our second time renting this home and look forward to many future visits.

Covered Bridge Festival
We are a group of friends that get together every year for the Covered Bridge Festival. We’ve stay in this house two times now and it always meets our expectations. Beautiful country setting. Great host. We will return.

With this being just across the street from the state park it was everything we wanted it to be. The place is isolated from the neighbors and it is very quiet. There is not a lot of cell phone coverage so plan on disconnecting from the world while you stay there.

Farm house getaway
This house is situated in a wooded private area. You cannot see any other properties from where you are. The house is clean and very homey. If you have elderly people they must be able to deal with some possible difficult areas especially in the bathroom and getting to the outside deck. (A handrail going down the steps on the deck would be great.) Checking light bulbs in the facility to make sure that they are working would be helpful as the inside is somewhat dimly lighted. The beds were comfortable, and the appliances all were in working order (except for the hot tub) There was plenty of dinner ware and cookware. The TV (which was connected to Direct TV) worked well. It was a great experience, and our family enjoyed very much the facility. We would not hesitate to come back.

Relaxing retreat
This property did not disappoint! Beautiful farmhouse on a beautiful property! We enjoyed the fire pit, the hot tub, the screened-in back porch, and the front porch swing the most. We spent so much time enjoying the property that we didn't get to hike at Turkey Run this trip. Planning on returning in the Fall for another stay and more hiking! Definitely recommend waking up early and having a cup of coffee on the back porch while listening to the wildlife waking up around you!

Nice weekend stay
Nice cabin in relatively remote area. The house was easy to find and check in was super easy. Owner was responsive to communication and helpful. House was clean and comfortable, but there were wasps around the back deck area, and gnats in the front yard which made our time outside less comfortable. For those of us with Verizon cell service, cell phone and internet service was fine, just slow. For those with different cell service providers, we had no service or connection at all while at the property. But overall, a nice visit.

Great Property
We rented this property and the one on the same piece of land. Both were clean and as advertised. Would be nice if there was a path through the woods to get from one to the other. Otherwise we were very satisfied.
