This hotel is the only hotel the says it welcomes dogs yet NOT REALLY. It must be Motel 6 Headquarters that green lights the canines but…THE MANAGEMENT HERE honestly doesn’t welcome dogs at all. Their policy is you must take the dog with you if you wish to leave the hotel. Even if you go out to dinner or breakfast- they demand you take your dog. No excuses. If they learn you left the dog for even 1 hour behind- they kick you out. I wish I was making this up but I’m not. You’ve been forewarned.

This place was dirty. I don't know who ever rated this a 9.0 motel because this us in no way that high of a rating. This place is dirty and dusty. Our shower had hair all in it. The walls of the shower were even dirty. I had to go buy my own cleaning products and clean it myself before I could even use it. Their were crickets everywhere. We even had small roaches. We didn't see these till our last night. We decided to just stay in and make sandwiches so I guess the smell of the food brought it out. On the table under the tv. The place had holes in the bottom of the walls smelled bad just walking in, the ceiling had a big hole. I'm honestly very disappointed.

Great rating for basic needs

Property was well lit, easy to find, safe, well maintained, and secure, with room entrances in interior hallways. Exterior doors locked properly and unlocked with guest key card. Staff was welcoming, courteous, and of good appearance. They were also responsive and gracious with requests we presented. It's an older, budget property that permits pets, so there were stains in the carpeted hallways but absolutely no odors or messes. Texas has an autumn phenomenon known as Cricket Spawning Season, during which businesses with bright lighting can be literally swarming with the insects. Motel 6 did NOT have any such swarm in play, and the staff were proactively sweeping up the occasional dead bug before it could become an issue. I was very impressed with the care and courtesy of the several staff I encountered during our 2 night stay. Our beds were incredibly comfortable, with excellent mattresses. The space was quiet and cooled well. There was some dirtiness just at the AC intake and blower vents, and tried as we could, the shower inevitably leaked water nearest the bathroom door, which didn't easily latch. These were minor, and did not affect our sense of value for the price.
