Winter Getaway for the Santa Train
Publié le 16 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy family and friends chose to stay here for our winter getaway to enjoy the Santa Train, and we had a memorable experience overall.
Pros:
-The game room was a huge hit and truly the highlight of our trip!
-The home offers ample space for gathering, making it perfect for our group.
-The kitchen was well-stocked, which made meal prep convenient.
-We loved the beautiful views of the lake—a serene and scenic backdrop.
-The wood-burning fireplace upstairs added a cozy touch that we thoroughly enjoyed.
Cons:
-We noticed some mice droppings around the home, but the owner informed us they are actively working with pest control to address this issue.
-The air fresheners in the bedrooms were quite strong for the smaller spaces and could be a bit overwhelming.
-The futon downstairs is located in the 4-season porch, which was too cold to use for sleeping during our stay. We ended up moving the mattress inside to the living room for better comfort.
While there were a few challenges, the pros certainly made our stay enjoyable. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like the game room and cozy fireplace, and we’re confident that the owner is addressing the minor issues for future guests.

Great family getaway
Publié le 25 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayRick was very helpful with the check-in process and giving us the rundown of the place. Our 3 and 1 year old daughters loved playing on the beach. There’s tons of sunfish that came right up to them in knee high water. My dad and I brought our boat and we caught a lot of northerns and bass. The game room was a hit! We played a lot of pinball and Pac-Man. Overall we had a great time.

Fall fishing weekend
Publié le 20 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayStayed over a long weekend in September for our second trip to this cabin. Rick, the host, was very helpful and gave us all the info we needed before we asked. Everybody loved the game room. The cabin was beautiful, very clean, with plenty of space for our party of eight. The fishing was outstanding and the lake was quiet and relaxing. Highly recommend staying here.

Summer Lake Vacation

Lake is clear with a sandy beach and a lot of activities that you can do on it. The owner is easy to reach and always available to help and make your stay comfortable.

Fun get away!
Publié le 10 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property was great for our two families. We only had one beach day which was a bummer because the water and swimming area were great! Could’ve easily floated all week long if Mother Nature had cooperated. On the cooler days, we made use of the game room. A lot of darts were played, and the ping pong table , and Ms. PAC Man also roped us in! Rick was a great communicator,and very responsive to questions. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Paradise

Right when you walk into the gorgeous main level you are greeted with a picture perfect view of the amazing lake. Walk onto the deck and you see the beautiful sandy beach and can even see the fish swimming. Everything was perfect, kids had their own space downstairs and we had our own space upstairs. The game room was so much fun but we really didn’t use it as much as I thought because we were so busy swimming, fishing, and boating. We caught so many fish, I lost count. Even caught a bass right off the dock. The furniture was comfortable, we had everything we needed for our stay, and the host, Rick is so kind and responsive. We enjoyed coffee and meals in the sunroom, as well as board games at night. Sunrise and sunset are a must on the dock or sunroom. I cannot express enough how amazing this place is. We look forward to returning!

Great home, great views!

Plenty for kids to do with the great swim area, games in the cabin and the awesome arcade in the garage. Fishing off the dock was a big hit for the younger kids too. As was the water trampoline. The home is very spacious with plenty of room to relax, play games and make meals. Enjoyed the indoor sauna too. Overall, very clean and comfortable home!
