Publié le 2 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was very cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again. Our "grands" wanted to fish so we will have to come again when the water is up. Very peaceful and quiet.

A little chilly....
Publié le 27 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayArrived to a cold house at 50 degrees. Did warm up with turning on furnace after about 45 minutes. No dish towels- they would have been nice. Had to use bath towels in the kitchen. No wifi and poor cell service.
We actually like this property and have stayed here previously. Suspect that the details a little lax because off season for a lake house.

Kelly- I am so sorry that we did not warm up our home before your arrival but I am glad that it warmed up pretty quickly for you.
We have plenty of dish towels- not sure where they got placed by the cleaners but I will make sure they are more accessible. .
We had wi fi in the past but the service is horrible in our area so we cancelled it. You do best with setting up a Hot Spot! Because our home has a tin roof- cell service is not so great. The tin roof combined with our location make cell service a challenge.

Cabin on the Lake
Publié le 28 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayMy group of two adults and 7 teens thoroughly enjoyed their time. We were able to plan our yearly activities and enjoy the lake and all it has to offer. The teens enjoyed using the paddle boats and swimming in the lake. It was very easy to put our boat in. The cabin is definitely well-lived in with some items left in cabinets, fridge, pantry, etc. The fridge leaks water inside, so careful of what you put in there. The dining room table only seats 6, but we were able to enjoy the outdoor seating for suppers together. There wasn't any cell service (which kept teens from being on their phones all day) or WiFi which prevented us from using the internet to help us plan. Also, there was lots of ants in the kitchen. We put out traps, but it didn't put much of a dent in them. Overall, it served it's purpose and we enjoyed our time by the lake. Perfect location!

Run down cabin, in a subdivision.

The cabin is very small with oversized furniture, which makes it hard to even move from one side of the room to the other.The refrigerator leaks water all over your food, and the ice maker doesnt work. The light in the upstairs bathroom doesn't work, and it's extremly hard to turn the shower on. The beds upstairs are uncomfortable and noisy. The roof has a terrible leak.There is no wifi and my phone did not work the entire week. We were staying the week and there was no where to put groceries, because the pantry is full of useless junk.The only thing good about this rental is the lake.

This review is from a renter who did not comply with the rules.
We have 2 parking spots next to our home but there is also additional parking- public parking within one minute of our cabin. We removed the oversized furniture. The refrigerator does not leak. The light in the bathroom works. The pantry has lots of room for groceries. We do not have WiFi because there is no good service in the area. Hot spots work great. Our roof is tin so cell service works best when you are outside on the deck.

Kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing.
Only one suggestion is to reduce decorative items especially flat surfaces.

We traveled from Arkansas met 2 other families from Alabama. We had a blast on Lake Wedowee. The Clark's Lake House was beautiful.

Great trip

The location on the map before booking is a couple of miles difference than the actual location, but not a game changer. Host was very communicative. We had a great time. Thank You.

Overall a good experience with a few pros and cons
Publié le 2 avr. 2023 sur HomeAwayPros: house was very clean on the inside and very well stocked. Beds were super comfortable and overall was a nice place to stay.
Cons: not boat friendly at all. Boat parking is up the hill away from the house and no way to keep a eye on it. Ramp was completely un usable because of winter pool which is most places on this lake at this time of the year. Grill was completely rusted to the point of not being able to cook on it. and only 2 eyes worked. And porch had several rotted boards on it that was super weak when you step on them
overall nice place with just a few cons. Don’t hesitate to book for your nxt trip.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. We advertise that the water is down and AL power starts letting it up April 1st. When we have deep water your boat can be right in front of our home at the dock.
We had planned to get out new grill to our home before you arrived but it did not happen. So sorry for the inconvenience. We replaced many deck boards recently but we will check them again. There has been alot of rain recently so some may have come loose. Come stay again when we have deep water. Thank you for booking our cabin!
