Great central city option
Posted Aug. 1, 2024 on HotelsHotel was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed After hours check in worked well, and the hotel was well located for Te Papa and Central City. Would happily stay again!

No air condition , water pressure in shower was a joke no water pressure and limited hot water

Good location close to shopping and facilities. Nice reception staff. Nice room, well equipped except for no plug in the bathroom sink. The lack of instructions in Expedia on walking access from lampton quay was a little annoying

Choose another hotel for a family
Posted Jul. 21, 2024 on HotelsLimited hot water supply per day...not adequate for a family of 4. Tough to walk to grocery store due to location of property. Washer & Dryer all in one. Convenient to have in unit but did not work properly.

Great stay for business travellers.
Posted Jul. 21, 2024 on HotelsHad a great stay here. Ideal location right in town with on-site parking close to the front door. Bed was very comfy and the pillows were ideal. Very nice body wash and shampoo. Loved the layout of the apartment. Nice to have a washer and dryer too (however it's very slow).

Loved staying the Gilmer! The staff were the absolute best and even let us check in early which was a big plus for us as we were tired and had walked a long way! For the price I had paid, it was really reasonable with all the basic facilities.
Pros:
Staff
Facilities
How close it was to Lambton Quay and basic services
Cons:
Location - uphill/downhill but not bad
Transport i.e buses not super close but a few minutes walk away.
Mould near the shower heads and other parts were a bit dirty - easily fixable.
Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. Thank you for the memory!

Great place! Great stay, no complaints really just if anyone who needs salt, bring salt. I have pots and needed it, couldnt get any or see any. Not a super big problem though, supermarket had some which is less than 2 mins walk.
And a slightly wobbly pan but honestly i cannot complain at all.
