Rye Chalet
Publié le 4 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayVery nice and clean property with a beautiful view from the deck! The fire pit was lovely in the evening and the host supplied ingredients for making s’mores! The sky was completely clear and we enjoyed star gazing while we enjoyed the fire!
The host provided quick responses to questions I asked and provided amazingly detailed information about the property, which was very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend the Rye Chalet to others and hope to stay again soon!!!

The perfect spot!
Publié le 25 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed here with a group of friends for a mountain biking trip. We have stayed up at Kingdom Trails for the past 9 yrs and were looking to change it up. This spot was perfect! Close to all three trail heads, plenty of space for everyone indoors and out, great parking situation, not too far from town but felt very secluded. We had some questions about where things were stored while we were there and the hosts were incredibly responsive. Truly 5 star experience!

Great retreat!

Great views, surrounded by woods and blessed quiet. Easy access to neighboring towns and areas with lots to do, especially if you like hiking and outdoors. Excellent communications and support from the host. Would stay here again.

Publié le 7 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe received no less than 20 text messages and emails regarding the number of people staying at the property. The listing indicates the property sleeps 12, we had 8 for 3 nights and 3 for one night. This was our third time renting this property and this has never been an issue in the past. But we were told we had more than the "registered" amount of people. We were here for a golf tournament and to have fun. The constant badgering by the owner's representative seriously detracted from our enjoyment. Plus we were charged additional fees because of the number of people over four. We made this reservation in February for an August stay. We have no idea how many people will be coming. The price per night and the advertising is misleading at best. We will not be back.

Thank you for your feedback Thomas. You did receive 20 texts via the VRBO during your stay. Several of these were the standard VRBO generated letters requesting/reminders of payments 1-3.
The rest of the conversation included a welcome letter and a rental agreement. The agreement clearly states that “the base rate includes up to 4 guests and additional guests are charged nightly”. You made a reservation for 4, you had 8 stay at the property.
As you did stay at the Chalet in 2023, I discounted the additional rate to what was ultimately under $30 per guest for their entire stay.
On your last day you agreed to the rate and indicated you would pay it. Your rating was a surprise to us as you and I had a polite, positive, and productive conversation.
The Chalet is no exception from other short-term rentals: A guest registers the number of people staying and is charged accordingly. If that number changes + or - prior to check in, the rate is immediately updated. We wish you all the best in your future travels Thomas.

Annual Family Summer Trip

Just what we needed
Publié le 13 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayIt’s a beautiful house on a beautiful piece of land. We had a wonderful stay. I have never rented from a more attentive and caring home owner. If you’re looking for a quite space to enjoy family time this is the place for you.
