Perfect Location

It was also close to Wellsboro, and the entire area was gorgeous! Thank you for hosting us! Next time we'll have to stay an extra day so we can spend more time checking out the property!

Basic upgrades needed
Publié le 12 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was a last minute reservation because of the hurricane that canceled our NC trip. Here is what we experienced. The gas range and refrigerator were rusty and need to be replaced. No ice maker and black mold in the fridge. One of the gas burners would not self ignite. The baking pan I used was covered in grease and had been put away dirty. There is no dishwasher and the owner did not recommended drinking the water which is from a well. Black mold in the shower. The bathroom /laundry room had an unpleasant order. The window AC unit grills were covered in dust. In my opinion this rental does not meet minimum expectations of renters.

Bruce, we are surprised to hear all this after you left (your 6 day stay) because we did not hear from you at all during your stay.
The appliances are rusty on the outside because they are sprayed with cleaners after each visit and that happens. They both work and no need to replace them at this point. But thank you for your suggestion.
There is NO black mold in the refrigerator (not sure what you saw) or in the shower (the caulk was installed and got a little bit of dirt mixed in during installation). If you thought it was black mold, why would you stay 6 days? Also, it’s called defamation when accusing us of this without proof.
The unpleasant odor in the bathroom is what we use to keep the room smelling fresh.
We can’t help but feel this review is lashing out at us because your vacation was canceled and you were not happy about making a last minute alternative. We apologized for that when you first booked with us. Another reason I’m surprised we did not hear from you once during your stay. In the welcome letter I let you know (again) there is No dishwasher and not safe to drink the water if you’re not used to it, but I also request you contact us during your stay with any issues or problems- we did not hear from you at all until this review! We do aim to make everyone’s vacation a wonderful one.

PA Grand Canyon Weekend

Perfect Getaway!
Publié le 4 août 2024 sur HomeAwayEverything was perfect! Room enough for everyone-to eat, sleep, and play. House was clean and ready for our arrival. Host was very open and communicative-even leaving a list of things to do in the area. Location was peaceful and located within easy driving distance to the state parks and Wellsboro. Kitchen was well-stocked with supplies, bathroom had enough towels, and the washer/dryer was very convenient considering it rained all weekend.
When we return to the area, I would definitely love to stay here again!
