We were on our honeymoon. Loved the hotel all together. Set up was very nice. We stayed for the weekend yet had no housekeeping or even a phone call, right out of towels and coffee. Dead flies everywhere . We could tell nobody had stayed in the room for a while. Bathroom was amazing the bed was super comfortable

Amy, we are so very sorry that your stay was less than pleasant. This is not our standard or how we do business. We always strive to offer the best service possible to our guests. Please accept our apologies and hope you will give us another chance to serve you in the future. Our sincere apologies.

Please read before booking!
Publié le 4 sept. 2017 sur HotelsIt needs to be clearly stated in the booking information that the property is handled via the Comfort Suites in French Lick. You must go there to check as well as receive the complimentary breakfast. There was no staff on the property.
Upon booking, I had planned to head directly to the property. It was not clear until the day of my visit, that guest must 1st head to the Comfort Suite. Due to traffic, this added an extra 30+ minutes to an already long day. In order to check in, I drove by a number of other hotels and properties. I will likely choose to stay at one of them in the future out of convenience.
The actual property is secluded. The gate to the property stayed open during my stay. There are no temperature controls for the rooms. My room didn’t have a door to the bath area. It was an awkward set-up.
The property would likely be a better choice for a family reunion or similar event. The seclusion and lack of direct amenities would be a better fit for those types of events. For a single person, traveling for a short time - I would likely bypass.

Weekend stay at the Legend--West Baden Indiana
Publié le 28 mars 2017 sur ExpediaThe Legend is a sprawling house and grounds built by Larry Bird for his mother-maybe 35 years ago or so, filled with Larry Bird memorabilia It is out in the beautiful countryside near West Baden. I'm assuming it has recently been converted from a house to a "hotel" because they haven't got all the kinks worked out as far as registering, maid service, etc. Registration for the Legend is at the Comfort Suites Inn a few miles away. I assume they handle the maid service etc.
Overall it was a pleasant place to stay and a 5 minute drive from French Lick/West Baden. It has a tennis court, outdoor swimming pool, basketball court, as well as great views of the surrounding countryside.

The Legend of French Lick
Publié le 20 mars 2017 sur HotelsAll the comforts without the big hotel feel. A nice, clean, quiet place to stay away from town but still close enough to be convenient. Will definitely be returning next time I'm in town.

Don't Stay here!
Publié le 27 oct. 2015 sur Expedia
Pour : The Location.
Contre : Have a live in manager.....or have someone 'Greet' guests....or have some 'Pre-Stay' set of instructions for guests.
Emplacement : We enjoyed the Fall Color and we are very familiar with the area. Dinner at the Country Club was excellent and we really enjoyed their staff.
We arrived and were LOCKED OUT...we sat in the rain hanking our car horn for 15 minutes...no one had told us where to secure the gate pass and keys. (3 miles away!) We contacted the Police and they said to try lodging at the Comfort Inn as they thought it was closed. We drove into town where our cell phone worked and called the number on the gate....no answer. So I called the Comfort Inn. Our keys were there at the Comfort Inn! Upon getting our keys we were greeted at the front door by two vicious small dogs. The Living room had clothes and empty beer bottles scattered about but the dogs kept us out of there. (I'd NEVER sit on that couch) We discovered hours later that 'another couple' was told that they had the "property to themselves" so they let the dogs run free and didn't do any housekeeping. There are no temperature controls for the rooms...it was too warm...and the windows had no screens!!....we finally had to open them and just deal with the bugs.
'Breakfast' is down the road at the Comfort Inn.
I was General Manager for Residence Inn a long time ago and this is just unacceptable. The Property has promise but the management of it is totally lacking.

Neat place
Publié le 25 juin 2015 sur Expedia
Pour : It's a very unique set-up, a nice change from a standard hotel.
Contre : Each unit needs to be able to control their room temp. We were too hot to sleep.
Emplacement : casino, winery, shopping
This was a neat place, we enjoyed our stay. We could not control the temp in our room and it was hot. We enjoyed the library and the nice property.

Legend of French lick
Publié le 10 juin 2015 sur ExpediaJust to make it clear to anyone considering this place these are not guest houses. They are more like dorm rooms. You share all space with other people. Our room was tiny and not luxury. There is a room 3 feet across the hall so there is no privacy. I swear it felt just like living in a dorm. So basically we paid 160 dollars for a boarding room in a boarding house. We will stay at the casino from now on.
