Quiet & Respectful. Even with a busy dive schedule communication line kept open and surroundings clean. Appreciated.

Good location in West Bay

There are a few very small rental units adjacent to this home that appeared to have local people living in them. This is not apparent on the listing and someone parked right outside the bedroom window. Note the curtains are pretty sheer so not very private. The sheer curtains also let in the morning sun so very bright at sunrise.
The host was very friendly. It is her old home and she seams a little overprotective with people staying there. The place needs updating (window treatments for better privacyand a good cleaning. Very dusty ceilings fans and tile flooring left our feet pretty dirty.

Clarification: There is ONE nearby matching tiny house which does not interfere with guests staying at the cottage. You arrived from a stay elsewhere on island with bags, box and containers. Cleaning is done prior to guest arrival and after departure. . Requested extended checkout time was given at no extra cost.

The beach is less than a 5 minute walk

The beach is less than a 5-minute walk, and the sunset there is fantastic. The house is exactly like the pictures, and the host (Pearl) is the best you could ever ask for. Pearl always went out of her way to ensure our stay was perfect and kept in contact while we were there. And her guided tour of Hell was perfect, lol. Stay here if you plan on going to the Cayman Islands. You'll love it.

Living in Cayman
Publié le 7 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayVery clean and nice home. Gives a real feel for living like a resident. All the comforts are provided. Very walkable location. Pearl went above and beyond to meet my needs. Air conditioning worked great!! Looking forward to visiting again.

Mr Bentley enjoyed the proximity of convenience stores, restaurants, and beach just an easy minutes walk up the road. He found the dining room a comfortable setting with reliable internet service to get some online activity going. He even had an opportunity to sample delicious East Indian Mango from the tree just a few steps outside the dining room window. He was so "at home" at Aloe Vera that I am confident he will happily choose to stay again in future.

Great home and lovely hosts

These four were super guests. They left the cottage tidy and were easy going people. When we stopped by the afternoon before their departure they appeared so at-home relaxing on the patio out front. We would not hesitate to welcome them back. Their handwritten note left at the cottage was heart warming. Friendship made,

Perfect Location
Publié le 5 janv. 2023 sur HomeAwayOur plan was to scuba dive the West Bay and this house was walking distance to the West Bay Pier where our dive boat was located. Enjoyed Cemetery Beach and watching the sunset at Alfrescos. Hosts were fantastic.

Ed's Family had a busy dive schedule and were happy to have dive sites close to the Cottage. In spite of their tight schedule they left the house tidy, Enjoyed local restaurants. Quiet & unobtrusive. Much appreciated.

Neighborhood feel very close to beach
Publié le 22 déc. 2022 sur HomeAwayPearl was a treat. Her home had all my brother and i needed. On the north end of seven mile beach. Good home base to drive around the island just on the fringe of the tourist area. I would go back and visit her and her home again.

Eric and bro were super guests. We happened to see each other twice during their stay and it was a pleasant and positive encounter all around. They were so enjoying the beach and restaurants nearby. It was obvious they were having fun exploring the island even though driving on the left was not their usual mode. Would have them back for sure.

Aloe Vera Cottage was a stay in Paradise!
Publié le 27 mars 2022 sur HomeAwayLoved short walk to beautiful swimming/Sunset walks/ snorkeling West Bay Cayman beach. The house was well maintained and very clean. The host Pearl was great to work with and made sure we had everything we needed for our beach vacation. This was our second stay at the Aloe Vera cottage and look forward to our next Cayman Island vacation in the same beach cottage. We enjoyed a sunset dinner at Alfresco’s and the Subway restaurant was great for a quick lunch. Great family vacation spot.

Diane, Bob & family are very good in keeping the communicating lines open and it was a pleasure being their host for a second stay. They adhered to house rules and even though they had a morning departure they made time to leave the house very clean and tidy. They patronized the local restaurants and got in a wide range of sun, beach and water activities. Although they were out exploring most of the day when they were in residence they maintained a quiet and unobtrusive presence. They are the kind of guests that make hosting a pleasure.
Looking forward to seeing you again Birons.

Perfect place to stay on west bay
