Bring your own bed
Publié le 28 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe unit looked as described in the listing. These buildings are old and this unit hasn't been updated. Various things need attention. Our main complaint is the condition of the beds. The beds are absolutely the hardest bed that we have ever slept on. Rather than complain, on the first day, we tried a night of sleep. We even flipped over the mattress to try the other side. These older mattresses have that option. The newer ones don't. Unfortunately, they were extra frim and we were never able to get a good night sleep on our Anniversary wkd.
I texted the owner and he stated that he loved the beds and didn't have any other complaints. We didn't believe that at all.
He told us that we should rent another unit, at our cost, if we needed a better bed. He had no empathy or interest in helping us.
We have been visiting and staying at OBB, for over 20 years and never had any problems.
Until the beds are replaced with comfortable beds, I cannot recommend this unit of Shawn's.

The beds are great! We always are willing to work with guests if an issue arises, however this guest took that too far. The guest wanted all their money back, and when we wouldn't comp the stay they decided to give us a 1 star review.

Nice stay, a few minor quirks

We are sorry to see this review. The shower water does get hot, just need to turn the handle the correct way, should be obvious but it happens. Guest never reached out. We did have the freezer defrosted, we hadn't known prior. There is a $35 cleaning fee, and a $20/day resort fee charged at the front desk - which is noted in the property description. We promise you will love this amazing place, and you can trust all is taken care of!
