Outstanding Place To Stay In Tortola
Publié le 22 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were very fortunate enough to select this house to stay in for a week during our trip to BVI and Tortola. This place sits high above the ocean with magnificent views, steady breezes flowing throughout and almost no outside noises which provides perfect tranquility. The owners, Chris and Karen, were gracious hosts and went above and beyond expectations to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. They even lent us a vehicle to drive to a restaurant for dinner when our rental had a flat tire. The house itself was spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable, and the kitchen had everything you would need to feel right at home. There is no doubt in our minds that we will be staying here again upon our return!

Publié le 12 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThe four of us had an amazing time staying here. View is unbelievable and the location was close to the marina since we did a lot of boating. The indoor/outdoor living was the best part. If you get the opportunity, you should definitely go!

Wonderful vacation!

We spent most evenings at the house which was very comfortable, and had everything we needed for cooking meals and relaxing. Thanks so much Karen for all the great recommendations. The views from the house are spectacular and we hope to return soon!

Perfect Combination of Excitement & Chill
Publié le 15 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayKaren and her husband, Chris, were the best hosts we have had in all our years of renting homes. The photos of the view from their villa are amazing but to wake up and drink coffee on the porch is unreal. My 19-year-old daughter said it looks like a green screen - it's that vibrant and cinematic.
We flew into Tortola and didn't land until 8 PM. Because we were nervous about driving on the left side of the road in the dark, Karen graciously offered to meet us at the airport (about 40 minute drive) and let us follow her back to the villa. This was an incredible relief after a long day of travelling. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and learned to drive a stick shift - so, crazy narrow roads are in my blood. But, Tortola roads are insane and definitely require nerves and a reliable vehicle. The driveway to the villa is a bit harrowing but you get used to it.
(BTW: We rented a 2020 Jeep from Itgo in Road Town. Felicia is the manager and she is very helpful. They delivered the Jeep to the airport parking lot where it was ready and waiting for us to pick up. Super easy.)
Beyond making sure we got to the villa safely, Karen went above and beyond to make sure all our questions were answered and needs were met. The villa is simply heaven. The open-air living area is blessed with a steady breeze and when we were ready to go to sleep at night, the bedrooms were, thankfully, air-conditioned.
One week was not enough. We wish we were still there. What are you waiting for?

Erin, it was our pleasure to host your family for the week! When we take a vacation from paradise, we head to your beautiful NC mountains! Thank you for your lovely review and colorful commentary. I particularly liked your daughter's description of the view!
As I say, time and time again, by day 3 , all my guests are getting used to the approach to the villa and you've got to drive up to capture and enjoy "the view"! The view is forever changing with the variety of boats passing by.
We look forward to continuing passing on our 34 years local knowledge on your future visits.

Love the bvi’s

The view is breathtaking,beds so comfy,jacuzzi relaxing. I could go on and on. Highly recommend this villa. We can’t say enough about Karen’s hospitality. She truly is a gem.Thank you Karen,sincerely Bobby and Karenbeth ( future repeat guests)🙂

Very special property
