Publié le 26 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis condo is well appointed, including everything you might need (kitchen, blow dryer, beach towels). The manager was excellent and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. The unit has a great and quiet view (canal / lake side). The bbq was easy to use. The pool and beach was relatively quiet (did not need our beach chairs), even though we were there in summer. Great for family oriented stays but also for couples wanting to relax on the veranda. We had no problem with the air conditioning or the TV. Highly recommend this unit.

Publié le 25 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayHost is aware of poor functioning AC based on recent reviews. It cannot keep up in hot conditions above 30 degrees on the top floor. Had 4 terrible hot night sleeps, i made the Host aware, after multiple attempts to contact. Finally they replied. Promised compensation for the insanely hot stay and AC not working. Then has avoided a reply to myself or VRBO. If you can find another apartment at this building i would recommend staying. But i would highly recommend not staying with this host. They are misleading and playing dumb until your stay is over. Great location, terrible experience w kids in a heat wave. The Host needs to keep thier word. Two thumbs down for the Host and experience dealing with them.

Drew stayed at one of our properties during a heat wave. Towards the end of his stay, he reached out and complained that the air conditioning and thermostat (after he took it apart) is not working. I promptly contacted the building manager to investigate the AC. It was confirmed that the air conditioning is working and the temperature coming out of the vents was 18 degrees. I advised the guest to keep the patio door and windows closed as much as possible, which he insisted that they are closed. When I stopped by to drop off a fan, I witnessed that the patio door was wide open. Understandably, it would be warm in the unit when the doors are left open when it is 40 degrees outside. He requested a 50% discount for the “ac not working”, even though it was confirmed that it is working and patio doors were left open. He also smoked in the unit, and left cigarette butts in the kitchen sink, even though the property is a smoke free complex and there is signage everywhere(as well as in my listing description). I might still get a fine for him breaking strata bylaws.
My cleaners reported that the unit was left dirtier than normal and needed extra time for cleaning the unit.
I take great care of my guests and respond to requests that need attention promptly, as seen by my hundreds of positive reviews. My guests before and after his booking left a 5 star review.
I do not recommend him as a guest.

Publié le 2 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThe condo itself gets a high rating. Clean and with all the pots, pans etc. There is a great view from the balcony. Good location too.
The tv needs an upgrade. The channels are pretty much limited to news and game shows. We could have streamed Netflix etc. but it’s not a smart tv and the condo really needs one.
It was quite warm at night but we couldn’t get any AC. Perhaps there isn’t any?
The lobby doors were locked Sat. morning meaning no elevator so we had to pack out our stuff via 6 flights of stairs. That’s a challenge for a couple of seniors and the elevator was a priority for us when we booked. Very disappointing!

Glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. I wanted to address some of the concerns you had.
I’m not sure why the unit was too warm at night, but maybe the a/c was not turned on.
The lobby is closed at night and on the weekend for security reasons, however, the elevator is still accessible through the side entrance. I’ve sent you the lobby/elevator instructions with the check in info. I’m sorry if it wasn’t clear enough and that you had to carry your belongings up the flight of stairs. If you decide to stay with us again, you may use/ access the elevator from the side door at any time.
Thanks for being a great guest and leaving the unit in great shape.

The Best in the West

The area is safe, the view is spectacular, and the condo was fully equipped.

View of Okanagan
Publié le 10 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayNice stay at Barona Beach. Balcony and view of lake was lovely. Unit was clean and well equipped. Good parking spot out front. We enjoyed our stay and had a nice dinner on balcony one evening with the bbq and some okanagan wine.

Publié le 20 août 2023 sur HomeAwayOnly issue there were no tv channels for downtime and that really didn’t bother me ….. what did bother me is the TV was NOT A SMART TV so we could login to our Amazon Prime or Netflix Account.
