Lovely spot
Publié le 16 oct. 2022 sur HomeAwayCute little tiny home. Lovely views! Had a bit of difficulty with the key getting stuck in the door but made it work. The funky heater soon had the place toasty warm. Thanks for sharing the place!!

Lake water was perfect
Publié le 16 août 2022 sur HomeAwayIt was a really nice spot by the water! We appreciated having Kayaks to use and being able to swim. I recommend adding some stairs to the water and a small dock for swimming so it would safe for guests with limited mobility to access the water. It was a little too steep and slippery to manoevre the kayaks to the water, so stairs would help with that too.

Loon serenades at night
Publié le 14 juill. 2022 sur HomeAwayThis rental was as advertised. Comfortable for 2 adults. Conveniently located near Inverness and Chéticamp. Bob was very pleasant and helpful. Don't be worried by a composting toilet. It is fine. We were there for 7 days and everthing was absolutely jfine. I absolutely loved falling asleep listening to the loons. I would stay there again.

Just a few suggestions..
Publié le 11 oct. 2021 sur HomeAwayThe tiny home overall is extremely charming. It was clean and the area itself was quiet and relaxing. Several things we felt blindsided by, and we feel guests should be made aware of before booking:
There is a compost toilet. We were not prepared or comfortable with dumping our bags of waste. Also, there should be more bags left for guests staying several days. Hand soap in the washroom should be liquid in a pump for sanitary reasons, particularly during covid. We were provided a half used bar of soap. More towels, (again for guests staying several days). And there were no washcloths or paper towel at all. Also, 10 minutes of hot water is all there is at a time. Then prepare to wait an hour for the water to heat up again. This is inconvenient when 2 people need a shower before heading out for the day. The water is advised by the owner as not suitable for drinking, but no drinking water was provided. These are a few things we did NOT know before booking.
We were asked to use the BBQ if possible rather than the toaster oven, but then asked to buy propane for the bbq if it ran out! This should be checked and filled by the owner.
Again, the house itself is cute. The grounds should definitely be maintained as it has SUCH potential. Just a shame that it seems to have been neglected. Weeds up to my waist and some blocking what would be a magnificent view. The kayaks couldn't be moved down to the lake. The steep area to move them is extremely dangerous!
We didn't feel we got our moneys worth, and unfortunately will not book here again. 😕

I never answered more questions in 22 years business than Kelly's. If you read the text , you see that there is a very clean and easy to use compost toilet and you understand why you can't use electric cook stove, heater, toaster and maybe hairdryer all at the same time due to limited amperage. The propane is checked for every new rental but we can't check it every day. Water is filtered by a water softener but due to insurance liability we recommend buying closed bottles in nearby CO-OP. The 4 gallon electric water heater allows warm shower for 17-20 minutes and heats up in 35 min if you needed 4 gallons hot water for washing your hairs. If you can not get the very light sigle handed kayaks 5 m down to the shore you better should not use a kayak at all. I am sorry but guests like this spoil the good experience for more than a year. 2 stars draw 10 five star reviews down to 4.7

Secluded Paradise
Publié le 18 août 2020 sur HomeAwayEverything was as advertised. For those who want solitude, the home is on a quiet lake with the only noise coming from the family of Eagles and Kingfishers fishing on the lake. Tiny home has everything you need to stay comfortable. Loved it, would go again.

Tiny Loon
Publié le 28 sept. 2019 sur HomeAwayWe have always been curious about tiny house living. This was a great way to test it out. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing spot, and this fit the bill nicely. We have never seen such a beautiful star show.

Enjoyed our tiny house trial
Publié le 24 sept. 2019 sur HomeAwayTiny houses look so great on tv but I was curious to find out what the experience would actually be like.
We enjoyed the interior of this tiny house. Everything is thoughtfully laid out and we had everything we needed. Enjoyed the French press coffee, fresh air, and view.
Had no trouble locating the house.
Be sure to have the seafood chowder at the Red Shoe in Mabou if you stay here.

Nice lakeside place
Publié le 16 juill. 2019 sur HomeAwayThere was slight confusion with the owner about which home I was staying in but was quickly sorted. The location was great and there is lots to do in the Inverness area
