This is the only place around if you find yourself in west liberty. So it was worth staying & avoiding a 45-60 minute drive for me while I had a 4 day job. But my clothes, luggage, even ice pack smell like stale cigarette smoke when I got home. The carpet need replacing. The bed was comfortable enough. And the staff are very friendly. It just needs a good remodel.

When checking in the clerk informed me that my door doesn’t latch properly and that I need to “lift” up the door to secure it. Why put me in that room then? Unless they are all that way. Didn’t make me feel safe. That said I didn’t have any big problems.
Breakfast is a joke, it was coffee and a granola bar of questionable expiration date.
The room itself was noisy, everything could be heard from the hallway and surrounding rooms, the door not closing right didn’t help I’m sure. Also the toilet would run very loudly intermittently throughout the night.

Carpets in the common area look like they need cleaned .The commode did not flush properly. We had a non-smoking room, but it smelled like smoke and the outlets in the bathroom took some work to get the curling iron to work and stay on. On a positive note, the shower pressure was great And the beds were comfortable

The hotel is in much need of updates it’s old and a musty smell but the staff was wonderful and the beds and bedding was wonderful they do a great job with what they have

Stains on hallway carpet. Wallpaper in room peeling. Residue in bathtub and floor not clean.
