Vista Avia Villa (Traditional Stone Villa with Pool and Amazing View)

This traditional stone villa was built in 2003. The villa is surrounded with 2000 square meters of natural plot with olive trees and garden. Its one kilometre away from the typical Greek village Megali Mandinia with panoramic view to the Messinian Bay and the impressive mountain Taygetos.
The 170 sq meter stone house has 2 bedrooms in the main part of the villa. Main bedroom with 1 double bed and second bedroom with 3 single beds. The detached tower has 1 main bedroom with double bed and bathroom in the first floor and double bed sofa in the ground floor. The villa conteins a big living room with 2 relaxing sofa's, 1 big armchair, 42" TV Full HD, dvd player and a nice fireplace. The fully equipped kitchen offers you all the necessary amenities that you might need for cooking.
The 8 meters swimming pool will give you relaxing and refreshing moments in the hot summer days.
In the village you can taste Greek typical plates in one of the three taverns in reasonable prices.
The beach Sandova and Akrogiali is three kilometres away and you can enjoy your time at the sea having a snack or a drink to the beach bar Hobo hearing good music.
Kalamata is a beautiful city 12 km away that you can find anything you may want, also a lively night life, supermarkets, museums, banks, restaurants.
From this part of Peloponnese you can make small excursions to ancient Messini that it has an impressive well reserved ancient monument with a stadium, theatre, columns and other. You can also visit the Messinian and Laconian Mani with the beautiful picturesque villages and the traditional architect houses.

Hideaway in paradise
We had the perfect stay at this gorgeous house - the view from the terrace was to die for!! Very quiet and private. You do need a car to get around and there are plenty of facilities a short car-ride away. The whole family absolutely loved it! If you have very small children, the pool area can be a little tricky as the surrounding walls are quite narrow and fairly high up. But for us it was perfect.

Great place. Out on the hills and not overlooked... you felt alone and had your own privaste place in the middle of nowhere. Shops about 10 min drive away. Pool a good size. Very quiet. Sunsets and sunrises overlooking the harbour of Kalmata absolutely out of this world

Einfach großartig
Die Bilder werden diesem tollen Anwesen gar nicht gerecht: es gibt verschiede Terassen, sodass man immer ein schattiges Plätzchen findet. Es gibt verschiedene Essplätze, Korbmöbel und Liegen zum Relaxen. Ein absolutes Highlight ist die obere Terasse von der aus wir die Sterne betrachtet und viele Sternschnuppen gesehen haben. Es ist wunderbar still und trotzdem nicht abgeschieden. Ein kleiner feiner suaberer Kieselstrand ist in 5 Fahrminuten erreichbar. Hier gibt es ein paar Lokale. An Tavernen fehlt es ebenfalls nicht in der näheren Umgebung. Kalamata mit vielen Einkaufs- und Essensmäglichkeiten ist in 20 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar. Hier ist ein safter Tourusmus vorhanden. Der Pool ist toll, am Ende sogar sehr tief, sodass man ohne Sorge reinspringen kann. Er wurde regelmäßig gereinigt und ist nachts beleuchtet. Einmal wöchentlich wurden die Handtücher gewechselt. Alles war blitzsauber. Das tollste war der Bilck: schaut man nach links ist dort das Meer, schaut man nach rechts sind dort die Berge. Auch bei 40°C war alles wunderbar grün. Also: wir kommen wieder, es war einfach traumhaft.

We’ve had an amazing trip. The house and pool were really fabulous. Loads of space for us all. Very comfortable beds. We loved eating out on the terrace in the evenings listening to the cicadas. The local beaches were lovely and uncrowded. Communication was perfect. You need a car to travel around.

Vier großartige Wochen
Das Haus ist großartig. Serafin und seine Frau sind zu jeder Zeit für Fragen und sonstiges erreichbar. Der Hauskeeper und seine Frau sind sehr zuverlässig und diskret. Alle sind sehr freundlich. Man fühlt sich rundum wohl. Die Umgebung ist einfach ein Traum. Man kann Jedermanns Bedürfnisse stillen. In Kalamata Action in den umliegenden Fischerörtchen Ruhe und kleine Buchten mit herrlichem Essen. Wir wollten nicht mehr weg.

Lovely country-style villa - comfortable but not luxurious. Isolated giving complete privacy. Seven minute drive to nearest beach, 12 to mini market, 15 to supermarket. Large pool and patio. Could have done with more information concerning villa operation (water heating/wifi/pool) and local amenities and points of interest.

Peaceful and Serine
Very traditional Greek Villa,peaceful and very serine,if relaxing and taking a dip in the pool is what you seek ,this is a perfect place! It is remote so I suggest that you have a car,nearest restaurant is a twenty minute walk and you definitely need a car to get groceries! I would recommend for future guests,that the caregiver does more than hand you the keys and leave,i as would have a book with the best restaurants in area and markets!I put my own hand drawn maps on bulletin board,also what to do if hot water goes out,internet and so on! If you know what to expect and are prepared,I would recommend this Villa,just need’s some better care by owner and caregiver, Thanks ,we enjoyed our stay and look forward to possibly returning

Very relaxing location, the property isn’t suitable for young children or anyone with mobility issues. There are high walls and steps with no guards or hand rail, had a couple of small issues with the fridge and water supply, after texting the owner he didn’t even reply.

Perfekter Urlaub
Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub. Nicht nur weil das Wetter super war, sondern auch weil das Ferienhaus für uns perfekt war. Bei der Ausstattung gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Es ist alles vorhanden was man benötigt, um sich wohlzufühlen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants sowie Strände sind in wenigen Autominuten erreichbar. Ein schönes Ferienhaus fernab des touristischen Trubels mit phänomenalem Blick über die Berge und das Meer. Der Außenbereich ist mit Terrasse, Pool, Grillbereich und Garten sehr großzügig angelegt. Serafim hat uns erwartet und uns alles genau erklärt und wertvolle Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben. Vielen Dank an Serafim für die Geschenke und Getränke. Wer Ruhe, Abgeschiedenheit und die Schönheit der Natur sucht, ist hier absolut am richtigen Ort - zu 100% weiterzuempfehlen.

Für uns das Beste waren die Alleinlage (Ruhe) und die Aussicht die Bucht von Kalamata sowie im Hintergrund auf die Berge. Das Haus selbst lässt keine Wünsche offen, Serafim war zur Schlüsselübergabe vor Ort, hat alles gut erklärt, netter und freundlicher Kontakt. Fußläufig, ca. 20 Minuten, sind Tavernen erreichbar. Insgesamt ist ein Auto notwendig. Die Umgebung ist vielseitig und wunderschön. Jederzeit wieder.

Toller Herbsturlaub
Es war wunderschön in dem Ferienhaus. Eine traumhafte Lage, auf der einen Seite Blick aufs Meer, auf der anderen Seite Blick auf tolle Berge. Man kann das Haus auf google maps mit “Vista Avia Villa” finden. Das Haus selbst : Schöner gemütlicher Landhausstil, liebevoll eingerichtet. Alle Fenster haben außen Fensterläden zum Verdunkeln und eingebaute Fliegengitter, die man runterziehen kann. In jedem Schlafzimmer ist eine Klimaanlage. Es gibt sogar große Badehandtücher. Was man aber wissen sollte, ist, dass die Bett wirklich sehr hart sind. Das Wetter Mitte Oktober war super, tagsüber warm und nachts angenehm kühl. Wir haben tolle Ausflüge unternommen, sind auf den Berg zu dem Kastell, was man vom Haus aus sieht, hoch gewandert, waren oft lecker Essen und haben schön am Pool gelegen. Wir hatten also eine tolle Zeit.

Tolle Ausblicke
Wir hatten eine sehr erholsame Woche im September. Das Haus mit seinen schönen Ausblicken und abkühlendem Pool lädt zum Verweilen ein und ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Man kann in der Nähe, wenn auch nicht unbedingt fußläufig, gut essen gehen. Ausflüge nach Kardamili, Alt Messene oder Kalamata sind sehr lohnenswert. Man kann von Avia aus vieles unternehmen, auch wandern wäre schön gewesen. Aber es war definitiv zu heiß. Das Haus liegt ganz für sich in einem Olivenhain. Wer es ruhig mag, ist hier richtig. Lediglich die Matratzen waren für mich zu hart und die Bäder sind etwas in die Tage gekommen. Trotzdem 5 Punkte, auch wegen der guten Betreuung vor und während des Aufenthaltes durch Serafim, den netten Vermieter.

Sehr schönes Steinhaus um mit 6 Personen, Freunden / Familie entspannte Tage zu genießen. Landschaftlich schöne abgelegene Lage zwischen Bergen und Meer. Auto zum Essen oder einkaufen unverzichtbar.

Secluded Bliss!!
From booking to staying all excellent! Directions from Serafim and info were excellent. The View, The Peace was awesome!! Son say wifi excellent too!!( if you really need it!). Traditional Greek hideaway!! Beds could have been softer but a few more Mythos soon sorted it!! We put the table to the front of the house to enjoy the view and tranquil pool Aaaaaahh!! Many tavernas around cant name them all but went to a different one every other night. Never a bad meal!! Got fresh fish and meat from Lidl and bbq'd a few times and saw every single sunset bar 1 due to 1 day of monsoon like rain but was refreshing as getting too hot!! Car is essential unless you are a donkey! A little private place that has its own driveway and seclusion!! Just keep the gate shut to stop neighbours just calling by. Unless you like people you dont know or unserstand popping in!! Loacation wise best villa we have stayed at in last 10 years!! Could do with some minor TLC here and there but it adds to the 'quirkyness' of it. Greece is Greece and thats why we love it!! Serafim, Elini and families have an excellent experience awaiting you!!
