Magical, quiet woods retreat
Posted May 11, 2024 on HomeAwayWe had a great stay at this cabin and the property. It's everything the write up says and then some. The owner is a true craftsman with an eye for creativity and for bringing the outside in. I wish I had taken a photo of my review that I left him handwritten in his leather bound book to share with you here. He has thought of everything to provide a peaceful, calm and tranquil getaway. There is so much wildlife to be seen and heard. The cabin is rustic and gave me Hobbit and fairytale vibes. We absolutely loved it and our 7 year old son Elliott gave it a 15 out of 10, ha!

amazing whimsical cabin
Posted Apr. 12, 2024 on HomeAwayWe loved staying at this cabin. The details are so beautiful. The cabin is charming and has a lovely view. It wasn't hard to get to, but it was perfectly secluded. I'm so glad we stayed here and if we come back to the area, we are definitely going to stay here again.

Cool nature-thematic cabin
Posted Apr. 10, 2024 on HomeAwayThe house is very cool with nature themed thing incorporated into the features like a cave bath and a "tree house" bed loft you get to by climbing a branch ladder. You can tell the owner put a lot of care and effort into the place, he is a very nice and friendly person who offered us bread and eggs from his farm.

Wonderful private getaway

Nestled on 85+ acres of the Vermont countryside, the property is like a fairy tale land brought to life - treehouses, a hobbit house, and even a dragon chimney! It's magical. We spent our days exploring the property, sitting by the fire, and just disconnecting from our busy lives. My only complaint is that we didn't stay longer. Thanks to Rik for making us feel welcome and being an attentive host! We'll definitely see you again soon.

Earth centered restoration and renewal in rustic art craft home on enchanted land

With a thorough tour of all
Options and obvious care for the home and land and our pleasurable
Time. Warm homemade bread and farm fresh eggs among other essentials were provided. The home was like a work of art in its construction with relics around every turn. The bathrooms were the opus of the place. Visit each one! Check out the tree houses at the height of land to see more tree crafted wizardry. Warmed by the fire, healed by nature. Not a place to be missed.

Magical Stay
Posted Jan. 28, 2024 on HomeAwayEven though it was a rainy Vermont weekend we still had an absolute wonderful time at this beautifully crafted home, it's like staying in a story book the pictures do not do it justice, the home itself is ecofriendly which I appreciated, but did not skimp on luxury, each room makes you feel like a kid again and are living in an artists treehouse. Views from all windows are stunning, walks around the property as well. There's lots to do locally from hikes to skiing, but we really never wanted to leave. Thank you Rik!!

Wonderful week in Vermont
Posted Jan. 25, 2024 on HomeAwayMy wife and I have been coming to Rik's cabin annually since 2016. The cabin has everything you could need, and it was such a relaxing trip. Our dogs loved hiking though the snow, and we would sit by the fire every night. Thanks for everything, Rik!
