About this cabin….This Peaceful hand built location allows you to stay in a rustic 1 bedroom log cabin, 100 yards from Flint Creek. Sit on the deck, watch the sunset and wildlife or relax on the tree swing while just being at peace.
The back deck has chairs, and an outside grill for you to enjoy. We also included some bistro lights to gently light up the back porch for those evening conversations on the back deck.
There is a swing outside for you to relax and just chill.
One of the most sought after things about this cabin is the fire pit. With ample firewood that we provide, light a fire, roast some marshmallows relax and share your dream with one another.
In the late 1830's the Hildebrand-Beck Mill was being built, right across the street from our property, along the creek. It was one of the oldest working mills in the U.S. During the civil war, federal troops occupied this land. After the war, in 1872 Ezekial Proctor accidentally shot Pauline Hildebrand and touched off a feud that resulted in an shootout at the Goingsnake Court House. The threads of the tapestry of history have woven in and out on this quiet setting on Flint Creek.
