great stay for my dad and uncle

Family Retreat

Great Little Cabin
Publié le 17 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayMy husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. Its a cute little cabin with a wonderful outdoor shower as an added bonus. The cabin is minutes from the Ohio border and you can see the lake from the back deck. There are a lot of great things to do in the area. We did the Erie Zoo, Football Hall of Fame, Presque Isle, and the Classic Car Museum. Lynn came to greet us soon after we unpacked. She gave a lot of great recommendations for activities and places to eat in the area. She was very responsive to all of our questions. She lives in the area as well. We felt very comfortable knowing she was nearby if we needed her. Ask Lynn about her about her Eagle pictures!

The perfect getaway
Publié le 8 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was just as described, maybe even better. We loved everything about it. The hosts were super nice and greeted us as soon as we got there. Check in was a breeze and in seconds we were exploring the cabin and the lake. You can see the lake from the swing behind the cabin and it is a short 2 minute walk down the hill to see and experience it all. My wife and I loved sitting in the swing and just enjoying the view. The back patio was perfect for having our breakfast every morning. The beds were very comfy and the cabin was always the perfect temperature. We had a nice bonfire and made s'mores at night and also enjoyed playing Yahtzee in the cabin. They have shelves full of games to choose from. The area is secluded (which we loved) but also only a 10-20 minute drive to shopping, restaurants and even wineries in Ohio. We loved everything about the cabin and the location and look forward to returning as soon as we can.

Bruce & Cheryl, we loved hosted you as guests! Your experiences are our reward as hosts. We love offering to you adventures in life that you ordinarily do not experience. For example: the outdoor shower with hot running water! One of the hi-lites of country living. We hope you return next year, we’ll be thinking of some new experiences for you-perhaps a black bear or two 🐻

Lots of charm!

The cabin is cozy, clean, and equipped with everything needed to enjoy a vacation. It’s not a far drive to all the amenities of Erie, but there is lots to do closer to the cabin too.

Liz, we are so glad you had a chance to stay at the cabin. You’re correct, the cabin has so much to offer even tho it’s small-it’s just enough. And the cabin is “perched” above the community slightly to give you the private feeling without being secluded. We are so glad you found us and hopefully we will see you again for another vacation.

Weekend birthday celebration

Relaxing Getaway from Pittsburgh
Publié le 24 août 2023 sur HomeAwayLynn and Mac have created a lovely, warm, newly renovated space. It was the perfect relaxing getaway from Pittsburgh where we could celebrate my son’s 6th birthday. They had everything we needed. Lynn communicated beforehand to give me directions since the GPS location isn’t to the exact house location. We enjoyed hanging out in Erie for a couple of days, which was about 30 min away. Grateful to have this place to connect with family and de-stress.

Pleasant stay
Publié le 19 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was adorable, with a beautiful morning view of the lake. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the swing facing the lake, and the fire pit was a nice touch we made sure to put to use with our kids and roasting hotdogs for dinner. Would book again
