Beautiful place for a family gathering!
Posted Jul. 16, 2024 on HomeAwayWow, the dark knight sky is beautiful to behold, if you have a telescope, I recommend you bring it. If nit the observatory is minutes away. Plenty of room for people to relax, we had 7 so we were only in the main "Lodge". Kids played in the yard and dogs barked at the neighboring field's cows; overall just a wonderful setting with great access to the National Forest. We'll be back.

Great home for relaxation and adventure

Comfortable beds and warm blankets so you can leave the windows open all night. Great master bath and everything you could need in the kitchen. Offroading and hiking 10 minutes down the road, or an authentic small town 10 minutes the other way. You'll be looking at property listings by the time you leave.

Posted Mar. 18, 2024 on HomeAwayMy family and I drove from Texas to stay here for Spring Break. A snow storm blew in the day we arrived. Us being Texans, we havent experienced anything like it. We enjoyed the warmth of the house and the beautiful fireplace and enjoyed some board games together. The house had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook our meals and everything was labeled so well! The beautiful mountian views are visible from every room in the house. The snow didnt stop us from getting out and about and enjoying things nearby...the owners had someone come and plow the drive and shovel the porches. We didnt even have to ask! Westcliffe was such a cute town with great shops and the friendliest people. We will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic property for family reunion

It is very well stocked, provided coffee beans were a treat, maps/books on trails appreciated, lots of games and everything we needed. Great star gazing & nice fire pit. Charlie the host was super responsive, helpful & courteous. I highly recommend Trail Head lodge & DarkSkies Vacations

Nice cabin
Posted Aug. 23, 2023 on HomeAwayOverall, it was a nice cabin. Our family of three likes to have our spaces to relax. It could benefit from curtains or blinds in the master bedroom and madter bathroom as its open fully. A second tv would also be nice for teenagers. We bought a second tv while there. It's a lovely location, close to town so we would likely stay there again
