2 days of seclusion

The lodge is located in a secluded area. It would be perfect for families or groups to use the entire property for themselves. As a solo traveler not so good unless you prefer solitude. Gamigi the steward who runs the property is very attentive and helpful. I had 2 good breakfast and a very good traditional Sri Lanka food for dinner. I enjoyed my brief stay. My room was very large with a large bathroom and air conditioning. It was very comfortable and quiet ;)

Unresponsive and disorganised, not acceptable

Had tried to contact hotel both through Expedia and Facebook before arrival, no response. Arrived late as planned, no one available to check in. Eventually roused a staff member who had no knowledge of our (prepaid) booking, he put us in a room with no water in the bathroom, we changed rooms to a room below the standard we had booked which had a trickle of water. Room had a thin frosted glass door leading on to the reception area so any activity or light at the entrance to the hotel ended up directly in our bedroom. No drinking water was provided. Kettle was present, but had a plug that was a different shape from the one on the wall. Child cot requested was not provided. Breakfast however was reasonable, although around an hour later than requested. Overall the stay was pretty terrible.
