Lake House Getaway
Publié le 26 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a fabulous family vacation. We brought our boat and had no trouble getting into the lock for the association boat ramp. The house was great. My sister rented the little house just down the street for her family. Being the bigger house her sons stayed with us. The a/c for the bedrooms was refreshing after long days on the boat. The boys fished everyday and the neighbors were kind. it was a nice quiet vacation. I only left the house to get ice cream. 1 suggestion is to bring a fan for the living room it helps circulate the A/C. We brought one with us and it helped keep the living room cool on the 90 plus degree days. having 2 bathrooms was helpful as there were a bunch of us. the kayaks were a huge hit with the boys. It was a great week!

Excellent Location for Skiing!

We skied Wachusett. Which was 5 min drive and Wachusett Brewery was amazing! We recommend checking the sauna hookup first and more adult sized towels! Everything else was lovely!

Winter Ski Getaway with a Beautiful Lake View
Publié le 19 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy family of 4 (2 adults and 2 boys ages 13&16) and my brother-in-law’s family of 4 (2 adults and 2 girls ages 20&22) stayed for the weekend (Friday-Sunday) the first weekend in February. Very nice home with a beautiful view right on the Lake with the Ski Mountain in the background. Only 5 minutes to the mountain. The owner was quick to respond by text with any questions we had. Beds were all comfortable except the pull out couch needs a new mattress. Having only one shower for 8 people was a challenge but we managed for the one weekend. For a winter stay I would not recommend more than 7 or 8 people for those reasons. In the summer you can use the outdoor shower so can probably have 8 or 9 people. We cooked all our meals in the house and were able to use the outdoor grill as well. My nieces enjoyed the sauna and we all enjoyed a nice fire while watching a movie after a long day of skiing. My family of 4 is considering going back in the summer to enjoy more lake activities.

Spectacular setting
Publié le 27 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayA gorgeous setting on the lake. The interior was a bit tired and warn. Could use some upgrades. A dresser in the master bedroom would have been very helpful. The heating was nearly non existent in the bathroom and master bedroom ( thank you for the space heater) we really enjoyed sitting by the fire and watching movies or playing intense family hangman on the black board. It was a quiet and peaceful setting. Thank you for your hospitality!

Wedding Weekend

Family vacation
Publié le 11 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful week at this lake house in Westminster. The house was comfortable and had enough room for a crowd. The lake was great. We kayaked every day. We brought some kayaks and used some that were provided. Spent a lot of time out on the deck that overlooks the lake. The hammock and fire pit were well used also. Kids did some fishing off the dock and caught quite a few. Neighbors are close but it was quiet and serene. Grocery store and restaurants are close by. Tyler checked in a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes, pots and pans. I would suggest a bit more silverware and some big coffee mugs. I like a big cup of coffee while admiring the lovely lake in the morning. Ceiling fans and air conditioners kept it plenty cool and comfortable. We rent a lake house every summer and this one was great.

We somehow missed the fact there is hidden sauna, so it was an extra bonus on the 3rd day. Don't forget about it!
