Lovely Lake Retreat
Publié le 16 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis home was the perfect lake getaway for our family. The home was clean, well-maintained and just the right size for our family. We used the provided kayaks to explore the lake. The grill came in handy for dinner and the fire pit was perfect for roasting s'mores. Two convenience markets are close by and the town is a short drive to mini-golf, restaurants and sightseeing adventures. We were only there for 2 nights but our family could easily spend a week. If you're looking for a quiet getaway to recharge but also be able to access creature comforts, this is the place for you.
My only feedback would be that the directions were a little confusing when finding the house. The gas station name changed (from Holliday to Circle K) and the turn off for the home is about 2 miles past the first convenience market.
Overall, we had a great time. Looking forward to planning our next trip there!

Peaceful weekend

It is close enough to Munising to enjoy hikes and the beauty of God, but also nice to just stay at the VRBO, fish and relax. Place was very clean, included all the needed amenities and bonus that we could bring out dog!

Pre Summer Getaway...
Publié le 2 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayOverall, everything was nice..A few more 🐜 & insects, than we have dealt with previously but given this time of year, kinda expected. Still a nice get away...The only real quam was our first night there. The adjacent property to our right was full of young people camping in tents, with a generator and motor bikes. However, they left Memorial day...Thank goodness.

I'm glad you were able to see the how wonderful the property can be. I'm truly sorry our communication fell short. We pride ourselves in communication with guests as a small, family business. One of us (often it's me) sleep with the office cell 24/7 for guest emergencies when they are at our properties across Michigan. Thank you for taking the time to talk w me in more detail about your stay. I actually had the phone and took your initial text/call the evening you arrived. It is true; the plow driver did not respond as quickly as we have experienced him to do so in the past. Still, I should not have made assumptions about his arrival time and communicated that to you before we had an arrival time locked in. Plus, we have since updated our listing to reflect how the dirt/gravel roads around Masters Retreat are not easily passable in a standard car during the season changes, with the snow/mud mix.
We look forward to having you back in the near future.

Fun in the UP
Publié le 28 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed Miners Falls, Castle and Beach, Kitchitikipi and Fayette. Lots of places to visit without having to drive very far!
I would recommend adding to your listing that you have a duel Keurig, that brews a pot and can use k-cups and also a hairdryer 😉
I would also recommend adding that there are two general stores near the home. One is closed in the office season but the other is open and they were very friendly and had a great selection and they have pizza!

Relaxing and beautiful property
Publié le 22 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayMasters Retreat is a perfect location for anyone visiting Pictured Rocks or looking for a peaceful getaway in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. My first impression of the property was how clean it was. It is well equipped and stocked with everything you may need - you really only need to arrive with food and clothes. We really enjoyed the fire pit and kayaks (available to use along with life jackets!). I hope to visit again to enjoy the beauty and comfort that Masters Retreat offers.
