Super chuffed with Calm Sea Guesthouse - straight from arrival we were greeted with a welcoming smile. Rooms were super clean, decorated lovely and felt like a home from home! We can’t wait to come back already. Trish & Mel are the perfect hosts!

What an absolute gem of a find! Mel and Trish couldn’t have been more friendly on booking in and were super helpful on parking options. Rooms were comfortable and clean and breakfast was excellent! Would highly recommend.

The Perfect Hosts

Very attentive, everything was explained i.e. best pubs, restaurants, take-aways, where to park etc. Breakfast cooked to order and included fresh fruit and cereals if required, all pre ordered the night before to ensure it was ready in the morning, sets you up for the day. We would highly recommend a stay here, we had 2 nights and we will go back. Added bonus it's only a 3 minute walk from the beach!

The property makes for a great stay being minutes away from the beach but on a peaceful street to ensure a quiet nights sleep but what really makes it stand out are the owner's Mel and Trish who couldn't have been any more friendly and helpful. As well as providing local knowledge they even assisted with helping us to find parking and carrying luggage. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. The personal touches they added such as leaving a little bag of sweets or what my son called treasure for him to find at the top of his bunk bed made him love his stay from the moment we got there. Thank you both for being wonderful hosts we hope to come back

Excellent stay
Posted Apr. 9, 2024 on HotelsMal and Trish was soo friendly they offered help with the bags to the room and back to the car when we left, always asked if everything is ok and if we needed anything and even warmed up my son's milk when needed excellent service will be going back in the next few months thank you soo much

Had a lovely time at Calm Sea Guesthouse, proprietors were very nice, friendly & obliging. Very convenient to the station & the beach. Good, traditional English breakfast. Nice, attractive room & bathroom.
